Across nine municipalities in the Al Ostuan River Basin in Akkar, Acted, with the support of the Crisis and Support Centre of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, is implementing the Humaniterra project, which combines climate-resilient agriculture with community environmental awareness.
Building on its field presence in Akkar, Acted is installing 25 bi-span greenhouses through Cash-for-Work activities. The greenhouses are equipped with passive ventilation, integrated rainwater-harvesting systems and drip-irrigation networks to help local farmers improve agricultural production and use water more efficiently. Through the Cash-for-Work component, 76 women and men are contributing 2280 workdays to the installation process.In parallel, Mada Association is delivering community environmental-awareness sessions for 321 participants, covering climate change, sustainable agriculture, water conservation, soil degradation, food waste and environmental protection. Al Hadatha Association is delivering community training on conflict management and non-violent communication to promote peaceful dialogue and strengthen social cohesion for 200 partcipants.
في تسع بلديات ضمن حوض نهر الأسطوان في عكار، تنفّذ Acted، بدعم من مركز الأزمات والدعم التابع لوزارة أوروبا والشؤون الخارجية الفرنسية، مشروع «Humaniterra »، الذي يجمع بين الزراعة القادرة على التكيّف مع تغيّر المناخ والتوعية البيئية المجتمعية.استنادًا إلى حضورها الميداني في عكار، تعمل Acted، من خلال أنشطة النقد مقابل العمل، على تركيب 25 بيتًا محميًا زراعيًا مزدوجًا مزوّدًا بتهوية طبيعية، وأنظمة متكاملة لحصاد مياه الأمطار، وشبكات للري بالتنقيط، بهدف مساعدة المزارعين المحليين على تحسين الإنتاج الزراعي واستخدام المياه بكفاءة أكبر. ومن خلال مكوّن النقد مقابل العمل، يساهم 75 امرأة ورجلًا في 2280 يوم عمل لدعم أعمال التركيب.وبالتوازي، تنفّذ جمعية مدى جلسات توعية بيئية مجتمعية لصالح 321 مشاركًا ومشاركة، تتناول تغيّر المناخ، والزراعة المستدامة، وترشيد استخدام المياه، وتدهور التربة، وهدر الغذاء، وحماية البيئة. كما تنفّذ جمعية الحداثة تدريبات مجتمعية ل 200 مشاركًا ومشاركة حول إدارة النزاعات والتواصل اللاعنفي، بهدف تعزيز الحوار السلمي وتقوية التماسك الاجتماعي.

After 15 years in Lebanon, two migrant women were pushed into extreme vulnerability as the compounded crises and the impact of the 2024 conflict left them struggling to meet even their most basic needs.

With support from the Lebanon Humanitarian Fund (LHF), life-saving cash assistance provided them with the means to stay safe, cover essential needs, and regain a sense of stability during a critical period.
