WingWoman Lebanon Providing reusables saves families money, improves health & reduces waste.

WingWoman Lebanon (WWL) is a local NGO producing reusable period pads and diapers while creating dignified work opportunities for women from under-resourced communities. WingWoman Lebanon empowers women to create sustainable futures through the production, distribution and use of reusable hygiene items. We manufacture high quality reusable diapers and reusable period pads and provide period awareness sessions alongside pad distribution. Our mission is three fold:
- increase decent work opportunities for women
- reduce waste in the environment
- increase access to essential hygiene items

Skills, time and care in every stitch. 🧵
Through our recent project with The FAWCO Foundation at Dar Al Amal, Tripoli, women who had been released from prison took part in menstrual pad production training.

With the pads intended for women in prison, the project aimed to connect opportunities to earn an income with access to menstrual products.

ضمن مشروعنا الأخير مع مؤسسة FAWCO في دار الأمل في طرابلس، شاركت نساء سبق لهنّ أن عشن تجربة السجن في تدريب على إنتاج الفوط الصحية.
وبهدف توزيع هذه الفوط على نساء في السجون، سعى المشروع إلى الجمع بين توفير فرص لكسب الدخل وإتاحة الوصول إلى مستلزمات الدورة الشهرية.

More than skills, we built a community.

Empower Her brought women together to learn, create, support one another, and grow. What started as a skills and livelihood opportunity became a space for connection, friendship, confidence, and shared experiences.

We’re grateful to every woman who made this journey special, and to our partners and donors, Acted Lebanon , UN Women Lebanon and Australian Embassy - Beirut, Lebanon , for making it possible.

During our sessions, we asked women about the strangest things they’ve heard about periods and what you should or shouldn’t do while menstruating.

The answers reminded us just how many myths are still passed down from one generation to another.

Through sessions on menstrual health and reusable menstrual pads, participants gained the knowledge and confidence to lead conversations, support other women and girls, and help expand access to accurate information in their own communities

What started as a goal to teach new skills and empower women has naturally grown into something even bigger: a true community. A place where you can learn, share, laugh out loud, and just be you—unapologetically. 👑✨

To every woman who has walked through our doors and made this space so welcoming, inclusive, and vibrant: thank you for making it yours.

A single woman’s voice can help create change that reaches many.

This session was implemented as part of the FIA project in partnership with

Through sessions on menstrual health, reusable pads, and community outreach, participants gain the knowledge and confidence to educate others, distribute reusable pads, and promote more informed conversations around menstruation.

The project has trained 60+ women across Bekaa, Saida and Tripoli, reaching 300+ community members one woman at a time.
