Are you passionate about empowering entrepreneurs and driving economic resilience in local communities? Hope Center Lebanon is expanding its impact and seeking a dedicated Micro-project Advisor (Coach) to join our dynamic Microfinance Program team.
In this role, you will work hand-in-hand with aspiring entrepreneurs and established small business owners. From the initial application stage through project implementation, you will provide vital mentorship, assess business viability, and guide participants toward sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Client Support: Guide applicants through the application process, assist with documentation, and conduct comprehensive interviews to evaluate business needs and management capabilities.
Field Assessments: Perform regular site visits to verify information, evaluate basic project feasibility, and ensure requested equipment aligns with business development goals.
Strategic Mentoring: Deliver practical, easy-to-understand coaching on core business fundamentals, including costing, pricing, cash flow management, record-keeping, and sales strategies.
Portfolio Monitoring: Track beneficiary progress, troubleshoot operational challenges, and manage monthly follow-ups for accounts with delayed installments to encourage timely regularization.
Reporting & Collaboration: Maintain accurate, up-to-date program documentation, collaborate closely with internal HCL departments, and participate in ongoing capacity-building initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: Demonstrated background in evaluating small businesses, analyzing project ideas, and conducting feasibility assessments.
Core Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and active-listening skills with the ability to translate complex business concepts into practical advice.
Operational Requirements: Highly organized, detail-oriented, proficient in Microsoft Office, and comfortable managing multiple files under pressure.
Language Proficiency: French is a must; English proficiency is considered a strong asset.
