Cochi survived the war.

He was rescued from Dahyeh after an explosion hit next to him. His family left him behind when the war started. His eyes had popped out.

We removed both of his eyes. He slowly started adapting to life as a blind cat. He learned his surroundings, started eating again, playing again, trusting again. We neutered him, vaccinated him, and watched his personality slowly come back to life.

And suddenly…

Cochi stopped eating.
Stopped moving.
Stopped being the happy Cochi we knew.

Today, after taking him to the hospital, our fears were confirmed. Cochi has wet FIP. His belly is filled with fluid. 💔

We are devastated.

The shelter is collapsing under the consequences of this war. Even if the bombings around us have calmed down, the suffering did not stop. The toxicity, the stress, the weakened immune systems… cat after cat is getting sick.

Cochi is now our second confirmed FIP case since the war started, and honestly, we fear there will be more.

We need help more than ever.
Please think about fostering.
Please think about donating.

One cat at a time is breaking in front of our eyes, and we are trying so hard not to break too💔

Pepito was surrendered to our shelter after living a heartbreaking life. His family kept him locked on a balcony, refused to neuter him, never vaccinated him, and were bothered by his constant meowing… when in reality, Pepito was simply asking for love and attention.

From the moment he arrived, we discovered the real Pepito: one of the sweetest, most sociable cats ever. He loved human connection, affection, and simply being close to people.

Thankfully, Pepito touched the hearts of an amazing couple here in Lebanon. Local adoptions are rare for us, which makes them even more special. They allow us to keep seeing our rescues growing happy and loved, and that means the world to us.

Today, Pepito is living the life he always deserved spoiled, adored, and proudly acting as the man of the house🤍

A month ago, Oat started bleeding from his private area.
We rushed him to the specialist immediately. An ultrasound showed a wound, likely caused by constant friction with the ground.

Oat is blind.
He was shot before.
And ever since the war and bombings, he barely moves from fear. He stays sitting most of the time, terrified something bad will happen again.

At first, the wound seemed small and clean. The doctors hoped it would heal on its own to avoid stressing him further with sedation and procedures.

But the bleeding came back. Worse than before.

Blood everywhere on the floor.
Constant licking.
Pain.
Discomfort.

We took him back to the hospital urgently… and this time, the news broke us.

Oat has TVT — a contagious type of cancer in dogs that spreads mainly through contact between dogs, especially through mating or licking affected areas. Thankfully, Oat is neutered, and the doctors believe we caught it very early before it grew bigger.

That is the only good news in all of this.

Now Oat urgently needs a CT scan TOMORROW to check whether the cancer has spread internally.
The scan and report, which must be sent to Europe for interpretation, will cost $390.

Please… we are begging for help.
We cannot postpone this.

Every single day matters when cancer is involved.

If the scan shows it is still localized, the tumor can be removed and Oat will begin chemotherapy. The treatment will be long and exhausting, especially for a blind dog already carrying so much trauma.

Sometimes we really wonder how much one soul can endure.

Shot.
Blind.
And now cancer.

The situation in Lebanon is becoming terrifying again, with warnings of bombings near us once more. We honestly do not know how we are going to handle all of this anymore.

We also lost hope in finding a foster for him.

But right now, the first step is urgent:
Please help us raise $390 by tomorrow for Oat’s CT scan.

Please don’t let us lose time.
Please don’t let cancer win too💔

Kina was finally discharged from the hospital after almost one full month… since April 8 💔

After everything she went through — the burns, the pain, the surgeries, the blood transfusion, the amputation — seeing her finally leave the hospital feels unreal.

And as if all of this was not enough, we also discovered that Kina was pregnant… and the babies were still alive. Because her hematocrit was dangerously low and her condition was critical, we unfortunately could not keep the babies. The surgery was extremely risky, but Kina made it through 🤍

Her road to recovery is still very long. She still needs a new surgery to fix her previous amputation, her skin still needs time to heal and grow again, and we still have a long journey ahead of us. But God knows how strong Kina is.

And honestly… she hates us but we love it and we love her so much♥️
She still has that attitude, that fire, that need to protect herself even after everything she survived. And we love that about her. We love that she still fights back. We love that she did not give up.

Leaving the hospital does not mean the expenses are over. We still have not received the final bill, and we already know it will be huge. Once we receive it, we will share it with you.

Meanwhile, any help for Kina’s treatment and recovery would mean the world to us 🤍

This is Alex.
Around 5 years old.
FIV positive.
Severely dehydrated.
Emaciated.
Congested.
Covered in pain.

A group of kind people found him screaming on the streets. They noticed something was very wrong with his mouth, so they took him to extract his teeth and then returned him outside.

But Alex never got better.

He stopped eating properly.
He kept losing weight.
He stopped grooming himself.
His body became weaker day after day.

When we took him in, the situation was heartbreaking.

Alex has huge painful ulcers covering his tongue and mouth. He can barely eat wet food and cannot eat dry food at all. His mouth remains open because of the pain and congestion, and there is also a suspicion of a broken jaw… but his condition is currently too fragile for sedation and proper X-rays.

Despite everything, he is VERY gentle and affectionate. The kind of cat that still asks for love while suffering.

He is currently hospitalized, receiving nebulizer sessions, fluids, medication, and supportive care. But we urgently need help to continue his treatment.

We were not even able to raise the remaining $150 for Cloud, the war victim from Dahyeh, and now another life is depending on us.

Please help us give Alex a chance.
Any donation, share, or support truly matters.

This photo means so much to me.

Out of all the dogs that passed through APC, these three touched my heart in a way I cannot explain.

In the middle is Amira — our very first rescue.
She was shot in the eyes, emaciated, and lost her sight… yet she kept fighting.
She was the reason the dog shelter began.
gave her the life she deserved in Arizona: a life of a queen. She was the perfect mother for our baby.
Amira recently battled cancer with everything she had… but this time, it was stronger and she passed away one week ago.

On right side, Arvin.
He left us last year. Blind and battling autoimmune disease.
gave him a beautiful life in Canada. Something I will always be grateful for.

And Ada…
My Ada.
The only one who stayed close. The one who had her own presence in my life.
Losing her changed something in me.

One by one, they left.
And nothing feels the same anymore.

I always thought maybe one day I’d travel and see them all again…
I never did.

There are no real words for this kind of sadness.
Just love. And missing them every day.

I hope they are together somewhere… finally at peace.

These three will forever live in my heart.

Cloud didn’t deserve this… 💔

With the ceasefire, people are finally returning to their homes in Dahyeh…
And with them, heartbreaking discoveries.

Cloud is one of them.

A war victim.
Found injured, weak, and alone.

His body has a lot of wounds.
His eyes are severely infected… and we don’t even know if it’s already too late to save his vision.

Cloud is also FIV positive, which means his immunity is already fragile.
Now he’s fighting dehydration, anemia, and the famous flu…

And despite everything…
He is very sweet.

We are doing everything we can to help him survive this.

We urgently need to raise $250 to cover:

* Full blood tests
* Treatment
* Spot-on and deworming medication

Please help us give Cloud a chance.
He has already lost so much💔

Donate. Share. Be part of his fight.

Hero’s skin is covered in fungus.

His hematocrit has dropped by half a point 💔

We took him to the ophthalmologist. One eye is already lost, and we may need to remove it if the inflammation continues. The other eye still has a chance of regaining some vision, and hopefully with the treatment we can help him. We really don’t want him to become blind.

He is currently on antifungal treatment and antibiotics. Thankfully, his major wound from the bombings is getting better.

Hero is a war victim from the South. A bomb exploded next to him… and he is still here, still fighting.

Now, more than ever, he needs us.

We urgently need your financial support to continue his treatment🙏🏻

Lucky is only 3 months old.
A baby… already marked by war.

When people returned to Dahyeh after the ceasefire, they found him alone… with a broken front leg. No mother. No protection.

Honestly, we don’t know how he survived the explosions.
We don’t know how he made it out alive.

But he did.

We rushed him to the surgeon… and the truth was worse than we expected.

The trauma was not just a fracture.
Most likely, a piece of concrete or debris fell on him during the bombings.

The impact damaged the nerve between his brain and his front paw.

He cannot feel it at all.
He drags it behind him… completely numb.

This means he can injure himself without even knowing.
This means infections are only a matter of time.

There is no way to save the leg.

It has to be amputated.

Can you imagine… a 3-month-old puppy losing his leg because of a war he didn’t understand?

And yet… he still looks at us with trust.

We are doing everything we can, but we cannot do this alone.

Lucky urgently needs surgery and full medical care.

Please help us give him a chance to live without pain.

Every donation, every share… matters.

After everything she has been through, making her fight and strength so unique, Kina turned out to have blood type AB — which makes finding a compatible donor extremely difficult 💔
Everything about Kina is unique…

We sent three cats (the only ones we believe are not sick), and only Belly was a partial match for her blood type. His type is B.

There is a risk with the blood transfusion, as her body may not accept the new blood and could react to it. Tomorrow will give us clearer answers.

If her hematocrit improves, she will undergo surgery to remove her ovaries and the babies. If not… we are trying not to think about that outcome and are holding on to hope that her body accepts the transfusion.
