What a night in Baabdath on November 16!
In a luminous encore to the 2025 season, the Lebanese National Philharmonic Orchestra, under the inspiring direction of Maestro Karim Said, filled the New Church with the brilliance of classical favourites.

From Mozart’s elegance to the timeless colours of Purcell, Rossini, Grieg, Elgar, Strauss, Brahms, Dvořák and Offenbach, the evening unfolded like a journey through the great orchestral tradition, a gift of music offered once more to Baabdath.

Thank you to the Lebanese National Higher Conservatory of Music for this meaningful collaboration, and to every music lover who joined us.
Your presence is what brings these moments to life.

Until we gather again to listen, to remember, to feel.✨

Throwback to November 8, when the Yerevan String Quartet filled the concert hall in Baabdath, with the depth and lyricism of both european romantic repertoire, and Armenian music bringing the season to a close in a moment of grace.

The four musicians, each a distinguished member of the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra, crafted an evening of elegance and intensity. The photos capture the atmosphere exactly as it was: intimate, and marked by the quartet’s remarkable cohesion and expressive clarity.

We extend our gratitude to the Armenian Catholic Cathedral of St. Gregory the Illuminator and St. Elias, and to the Boghossian Foundation, whose support made this closing concert possible.

Throwback to November 1st, when the Arthur Satyan Quartet took the stage at Les Musicales de Baabdath 2025 for a special evening of Brazilian music.

Led by the brilliant jazz pianist and composer Arthur Satyan, the quartet reimagined bossa nova and MPB (Música Popular Brasileira) classics with a signature of authenticity and elegance, in a unique jazzy blend!

Joined by Khachatur Savzyan on double bass, Kevin Safadi on percussion, and Fouad Afra on drums, Satyan brought together three of Lebanon’s finest musicians for a one-of-a-kind tribute to Brazil’s most iconic composers: Antonio Carlos Jobim, Chico Buarque, Vinicius de Moraes, and many others.

The concert was presented in collaboration between Les Musicales de Baabdath Festival, the Embassy of Brazil in Lebanon, and the Guimarães Rosa Institute – Beirut, strengthening once again the cultural bridge between Lebanon and Brazil.

On October 25 in Baabdath, music became a living journey. In an unforgettable evening at the New Church of the Maronite Parish, Sary and Ayad Khalife filled the space with a rare blend of refinement and soul.

From the intensity of Boghos Gelalian to the lyricism of French-inspired pieces and the sweeping drama of Grieg’s sonata, every moment carried its own light. And when the brothers turned to their original works, Western harmony met the Levant, and the audience travelled somewhere between memory and discovery.

These photos capture a few of those moments with the two artists not only sharing the stage but also the warmth of a community gathered around beauty.

A heartfelt thank you to Mon Liban d’Azur for making this evening possible.

🎶✨ October 20, 2025, Baabdath welcomed a luminous musical encounter with soprano Anna El-Khashem and pianist Holger Groschopp who presented a memorable concert. For Anna, the concert no doubt was also a warm homecoming and an opportunity to meet Lebanese music lovers, reconnect with friends, and share the night with members of her family who came to celebrate her first concert ever in Lebanon.

The evening was also marked by the distinguished presence of H.E. the Minister of Tourism, Mrs. Laura El Khazen Lahoud.

Our thanks go to our outstanding guest musicians and to Goethe-Institut Libanon for their continued partnership and trust, making this evening possible.

Sometimes the most beautiful moments are the ones captured spontaneously by the audience. 🎶
A glimpse from Sunday November 16 concert, as seen through your eyes.
