درع شكر وتقدير للمربي الأستاذ حسين مطر

تقديراً لعطاءاته ورؤيته المتقدمة، ومحبةً صادقةً لشخصه ودوره، قدّم ممثلي مجموعة شباب مجدليا - منظمة اليد الخضراء (Green Hand Organization) درع شكر وتقدير إلى المربي ورئيس بلدية مجدليا السابق الأستاذ حسين مطر، تقديراً لمسيرته وعطائه وإيمانه العميق بالإنسان والأرض والمجتمع.

لقد كان الأستاذ حسين مطر سبّاقاً في رؤية «استراتيجية عاليه الأصيلة»، وكان ركناً أساسياً في الرؤية التي انطلقت منها هذه الاستراتيجية، مؤمناً منذ البدايات بأن إنماء عاليه يبدأ من بلداتها وقراها، ومن طاقاتها البشرية والزراعية والثقافية، ومن تعزيز المحبة والتعاون والعطاء.

وكان، من خلال إدارته وممارسته للمسؤولية، نموذجاً في المحبة والانفتاح والأخلاق والأصالة، وساهم في جعل مجدليا ضيعةً كريمةً تشكّل أساساً متيناً للمحبة والتنمية والزراعة والعطاء، ونموذجاً يُحتذى به ضمن قرى وبلدات قضاء عاليه.

إن تقدير الأستاذ حسين مطر ليس مجرد إلتفاتة لشخصه الكريم، بل هو تقدير لرؤية سبقت زمانها، ولإيمانٍ بأن التنمية الحقيقية تُبنى من الإنسان، ومن الأرض، ومن أصالة المجتمع المحلي.

استراتيجية عاليه الأصيلة

🇦🇺🐝 تعزيز تربية النحل وسبل العيش المستدامة في دقّون

في إطار تنفيذ استراتيجية Authentic Aley، أنجزت منظمة اليد الخضراء إنشاء ثاني تجمع جماعي للنحّالين ضمن Authentic Aley Collective Apiary في دقّون.

وقد نُفّذت هذه المبادرة بالتعاون مع Australian Embassy - Beirut, Lebanon بتمويل من Australian Aid، وبالتعاون مع بلدية دقّون والبلديات المجاورة وعلى رأسهم بلدية كفرمتى والبنيه، تجسيداً لالتزام مشترك بدعم التنمية الريفية المستدامة، وحماية البيئة، وتعزيز الفرص الاقتصادية للمجتمعات المحلية.

واستفاد من المبادرة 21 نحّالاً تم اختيارهم، حيث تم تزويدهم بخلايا النحل ومستلزمات تربية النحل والأدوات والمعدات اللازمة. كما تم إنشاء منحل جماعي متكامل التجهيز، شمل البنية التحتية اللازمة، ونظاماً للري، وزراعة مجموعة من النباتات العطرية والرحيقية، بما يساهم في دعم صحة النحل، وتعزيز التنوع البيولوجي، وضمان استدامة المنحل على المدى الطويل.

وقد أُقيم النشاط بحضور رئيس بلدية دقّون، في خطوة عملية تعكس ترجمة استراتيجية Authentic Aley إلى مبادرات تنموية ملموسة يقودها المجتمع المحلي وتجمع بين التنمية الاقتصادية وحماية الموارد الطبيعية.

تتوجه منظمة اليد الخضراء بجزيل الشكر والتقدير إلى Australian Aid على دعمها، وإلى بلدية دقّون على تعاونها القيّم في إنجاح هذه المبادرة.

🇦🇺🐝 Strengthening Beekeeping and Sustainable Livelihoods in Daqqoun

As part of the Authentic Aley Strategy Framework, Green Hand Organization successfully implemented the establishment of the second Authentic Aley Collective Apiary in Daqqoun.

The initiative was implemented by Green Hand Organization in collaboration with the Australian Embassy in Lebanon, funded by Australian Aid, and carried out in collaboration with Daqqoun, Kfarmatta and Bennay Municipalities, reflecting a shared commitment to sustainable rural development, environmental protection, and local economic empowerment.

A total of 21 selected beekeepers benefited from the initiative, receiving beehives, complete beekeeping kits, tools, and equipment. A fully equipped collective apiary was also established, including the necessary infrastructure, an irrigation system, and aromatic and nectar-producing plants to support bee health, biodiversity, and the long-term sustainability of the apiary.

The activity was conducted in the presence of the Head of Daqqoun Municipality, marking an important step in translating the Authentic Aley Strategy Framework into practical, community-led development initiatives.

Green Hand Organization extends its sincere appreciation to Australian Aid for its generous support and to Daqqoun Municipality for its valuable collaboration in advancing this initiative.

تشرفت رئيسة تجمع جمعيات سيدات الجبل السيدة فريدة الريّس، يرافقها مؤسس استراتيجية عاليه الأصيلة السيد زاهر رضوان، ووفد من ممثلات الجمعيات النسائية وأعضاء اللجنة النسائية في جمعية الخضراء وعاليه الأصيلة، بلقاء سعادة السفيرة سحر بعاصيري، عقيلة دولة رئيس مجلس الوزراء الدكتور نواف سلام.

وتناول اللقاء سبل التعاون في إطار مشروع "قيادة"، المزمع تنفيذه ضمن استراتيجية عاليه الأصيلة، بالتنسيق المباشر مع تجمع جمعيات سيدات الجبل، بما يعزز دور المرأة في القيادة والمشاركة في التنمية المحلية المستدامة.

كما جرى البحث في متابعة الخطوات المتعلقة بتشكيل هيئة عاليه الأصيلة، واستكمال مسار العمل الذي انطلق عقب تبني دولة رئيس مجلس الوزراء، في 30 آب الماضي، لاستراتيجية عاليه الأصيلة كنموذج رائد للامركزية التنموية على مستوى منطقة الجبل، بما يسهم في تعزيز الشراكة بين مؤسسات الدولة والسلطات المحلية والمجتمع المدني.

ويؤكد هذا اللقاء أهمية استمرار الحوار والتنسيق مع مختلف الجهات الوطنية، بما يخدم المصلحة العامة، ويدعم مسيرة التنمية المستدامة، ويعزز دور المرأة كشريك أساسي في بناء مستقبل أكثر ازدهارًا للمجتمعات المحلية.

Celebrating the spirit of beekeeping on International Beekeepers Day 🐝🌿

At the first Shartoun Collective Apiary under the Authentic Aley Strategy Framework, we proudly celebrate a small success story that continues to grow. Due to the remarkable progress of the apiary and the dedication of our local beekeepers, Green Hand and Shartoun Municipality jointly supported the initiative with 12 additional beehives.

Together, we continue empowering local beekeepers, strengthening sustainable livelihoods, and protecting the importance of bees for our environment and future.



بمناسبة اليوم العالمي للنحالين 🐝🌿

نحتفل اليوم بروح التعاون والعمل الجماعي في أول منحل جماعي في شرتون ضمن إطار استراتيجية عاليه الأصيلة.

ونتيجة التقدم والنجاح الذي حققه هذا المنحل، قامت Green Hand وبلدية شرتون بتقديم 12 خلية نحل إضافية دعماً للنحالين المشاركين في منحل شرتون الجماعي.

معاً نستمر في دعم النحالين المحليين، وتعزيز سبل العيش المستدامة، وحماية دور النحل الأساسي في بيئتنا ومستقبلنا.

A new milestone for sustainable rural development and environmental resilience in the Aley District. 🌿🐝

Under the Authentic Aley Strategic Framework, and under the patronage and participation of Tom Wilson - Australian Embassy - Beirut, Lebanon , we proudly launched the second Authentic Aley Collective Apiary in Daqqoun – Aley District.

The World Beekeeping day began with the inauguration of the Daqqoun Collective Apiary, followed by an official ceremony and gathering hosted at Mar Elias Church, bringing together key national and local stakeholders committed to strengthening sustainable agriculture, biodiversity, environmental protection, and community resilience.
The event was attended by:

- Representative of the Lebanese Minister of Agriculture Dr. Nizar Youssef Hani, Engineer Abboud Freiha
- Aley Members of Parliament Cesar Abi Khalil, Nazih Matta and representatives of MP Raji Al Saad
- Mayors of Aley municipalities and president of the Union of Municipalities of Aley
- Representatives of Food and Agriculture Organization
- Local NGOs, beekeepers, environmental actors, and community leaders from across the region

The visit also included a field tour to the first active Authentic Aley Collective Apiary in Shartoun village, showcasing a successful model of collective beekeeping, local empowerment, environmental stewardship, and sustainable rural livelihoods.

This initiative reflects the power of partnership between municipalities, local communities, international partners, farmers, and civil society in building a greener, more resilient, and economically sustainable future for rural Lebanon.

محطة جديدة نحو التنمية الريفية المستدامة وتعزيز الصمود البيئي في قضاء عاليه 🌿🐝

ضمن إطار استراتيجية عاليه، الأصيلة، وبرعاية ومشاركة سعادة السفير الأسترالي في لبنان Tom Wilson، تم وضع حجر الأساس للمنحل الجماعي الثاني في دقّون – قضاء عاليه.

بدأ النهار بزيارة موقع المنحل الجماعي في دقّون، تلاه لقاء واحتفال رسمي في Mar Elias Church، بحضور مجموعة واسعة من الشركاء والفاعليات الرسمية والمحلية الداعمة للزراعة المستدامة، حماية التنوع البيولوجي، وتعزيز صمود المجتمعات المحلية.
وقد شارك في اللقاء:
- ممثل وزير الزراعة اللبنانية الدكتور نزار هاني، المهندس عبود فريحة
- سعادة النائب Cesar Abi Khalil والنائب Nazih Matta

كما استكملت الزيارة بجولة ميدانية إلى أول منحل جماعي ناشط ضمن مشروع أصالة عاليه في بلدة شرتون، حيث تم عرض نموذج ناجح للعمل التعاوني في تربية النحل، وتمكين المجتمعات المحلية، وتعزيز الاقتصاد الريفي المستدام.

هذه المبادرة تؤكد أهمية الشراكة بين البلديات، المجتمع المحلي، الشركاء الدوليين، المزارعين، والمجتمع المدني لبناء مستقبل أكثر اخضرارًا واستدامة وصمودًا للبنان الريفي.

• Women-led and youth-led enterprise development
• Municipal service coordination and local governance
• Cultural economy and sustainable local tourism

We recognize strong alignment with the priorities of international partners, including the Embassies in Lebanon and their development programs as the U.S. Embassy Beirut, the Embassies of the EU Enlargement & Eastern Neighbourhood, Embassy of Finland in Beirut - Suomen Suurlähetystö Beirut Embassy of Canada to Lebanon @中國駐黎巴嫩大使館 Chinese embassy in Lebanon, Embassy of the Netherlands in Lebanon,
the Embassies of Latin America Countries, India in Lebanon (Embassy of India, Beirut) Embassy of Pakistan Beirut and definitely our beloved Arab Countries.

We are now moving to the next phase.

We are inviting partners to:
• Join a joint field visit to Aley to assess ready-to-launch interventions
• Co-design and support pilot programs with measurable outcomes
• Engage in a targeted coordination roundtable with municipalities and local actors

Authentic Aley is prepared with pipeline projects, local partnerships, and implementation capacity.

في عيد العمال، نحيّي كل يدٍ تعبت، وكل جهدٍ بُذل، وكل إنسانٍ آمن بأن العمل ليس مجرد وسيلة للعيش، بل رسالة لبناء الأوطان وصون الكرامة. ضمن استراتيجية عاليه الأصيلة (Authentic Aley)، نؤمن أن مستقبل مجتمعاتنا لا يُبنى بشكل مجزأ، بل من خلال ترابطٍ متكامل بين البيئة، والموروثات التقليدية، والاقتصاد.

From Khalde to the skies of Lebanon ✈️

What began in 1954 as a modest airfield in Khalde has grown into what we know today as Beirut International Airport—a gateway connecting Lebanon to the world.

Yet, beyond its national role, there is a deeper story of place and identity.

This vital infrastructure is rooted within the municipality of Choueifat, in the heart of Aley District—Authentic Aley. A region that, in its daily rhythm, hosts nearly a quarter of Lebanon’s population, embracing diversity, movement, and life in all its forms.

Aley is not just a district; it is a living crossroads of Lebanon. From its mountains to its cities, from its communities to its institutions and Arabic Countries Residents, it quietly carries the pulse of the nation—economically, socially, and geographically.

The airport is not only a national asset; it is a reflection of Aley’s role as a cornerstone of Lebanon’s stability, connectivity, and resilience.

Authentic Aley… where Lebanon breathes, connects, and moves forward.

من خلدة إلى سماء لبنان ✈️

في عام 1954، انطلقت البدايات من مطار صغير في خلدة - مدينة الشويفات، ليتحوّل مع الزمن إلى ما نعرفه اليوم بمطار بيروت الدولي، بوابة لبنان إلى العالم.

لكن خلف هذا الدور الوطني، هناك قصة أعمق مرتبطة بالمكان والهوية.

يقع هذا المرفق الحيوي ضمن نطاق بلدية الشويفات، في قلب قضاء عاليه – عاليه الأصيلة. منطقة تحتضن في حياتها اليومية ما يقارب ربع سكان لبنان، بكل تنوعهم وحركتهم وحيويتهم.

عاليه ليست مجرد قضاء، بل هي ملتقى لبنان الحي. من جبالها إلى مدنها، ومن مجتمعها إلى مؤسساتها، وحتى في ضيوفها العرب الشركاء الاساسيين، تحمل نبض الوطن اقتصادياً واجتماعياً وجغرافياً.

المطار ليس فقط مرفقاً وطنياً، بل هو انعكاس لدور عاليه كركيزة أساسية في استقرار لبنان وترابطه وصموده.

عاليه الأصيلة… حيث يتنفس لبنان، ويتواصل، ويتقدم.

نضيء اليوم أولى علامات الضوء رغم كل علامات العتمة التي تحيط بنا. فقد أصبحنا اليوم، كمجموعة من اثني عشر نحّالاً ونحّالة من قضاء عاليه، مجتمعين بيدٍ واحدة في مرج شرتون،
نتعاون ضمن أول منحل جماعي يجمع جهود ٦ قرى من القضاء.

هذه هي علامة الضوء التي نريد أن تكون منارتنا، وقدوتنا في مسيرتنا نحو التعاون والإنتاج والأمل.

Today, we light the first sign of hope despite all the darkness surrounding us. As a group of twelve beekeepers from Aley District, we have come together as one in Marj Chartoun to collaborate actively on the first collective apiary that unites the efforts of villages across the district.

This is the light we choose as our guiding beacon and the example we aspire to follow in our journey of cooperation, productivity, and hope.
