The Eid holiday is over and we continue our MHPSS music sessions in Lebanon 🎶

As children don’t go to school, the days in the crowded shelters can be long. We offer trauma-sensitive music lessons that support their wellbeing and development. It’s a vital activity that brings joy and provides structure and comfort. This is so important during uncertain and stressful times!

It’s almost Eid al-Adha, an important and festive time for Muslims around the world 🌍

We wanted to mark the occasion with celebrations for the children and families in our shelters in Lebanon. We’re so grateful for .lebanon and , for organising a festive day with joy and laughter 💙

Our Community Kitchen is still running daily to support all the families in our shelters in Lebanon ✨

It’s one of our main daily activities to prepare nutritious meals and distribute them on time, while they are still fresh and warm. Only through strong collaboration of the team we can make this work each day 💙

Mental health support is an important part of our emergency response in Lebanon. We focus on stress relief and connection through play and creativity with children, to help them cope with their situation.

Every child deserves to run freely 💙
In our physiotherapy centre in Al-Zabadani, a 5-year-old child is overcoming the challenges of clubfoot and hip dysplasia. After surgery, 15 sessions of pelvic strengthening and gait training are already showing life-changing results, as you can see on the photo taken before (right) and during (left) treatment. We will continue treatment to support our young patient’s development.

This vital work in our two physiotherapy clinics is only possible because of donors like the . Your support helps to build a future for children who once thought walking was a dream. Thank you!

A huge honour for our team and the families we serve 💙

Last week, we welcomed the Ambassadors to Lebanon for Belgium and the Netherlands at our shelter in the Bekaa Valley. Despite their busy schedules, they sat with us, listened to the stories of families affected by the war, and even shared a meal with our team.

It means so much to see leaders dedicated to hearing the voices on the ground and truly understanding the reality of displacement. Grateful for the solidarity, thank you !

We were honoured to host the UN High Commissioner for and the Head of last week. As a key emergency response partner in the Bekaa Valley, this was an important opportunity to showcase our impact on the ground.

Our Emergency Response is a team effort: many team members make our activities possible every day 🫶

Meet Dr Feras Alghadban, the Medical Director of EMA. He leads the team in Lebanon, manages the activities and coordinates with many other organisations on the ground. From his years of experience, he knows what is needed in a crisis, and how to achieve this under extremely challenging circumstances.

A medical doctor himself he also knows the health risks of a crisis like this. He makes sure our mobile clinic keeps running and that we can support urgent surgeries for displaced people. Dr Feras’ efforts leave a great impact on the lives of many.
