Out with the plastic, in with the tote! 🛍️🌱

Happy International Plastic Bag Free Day! Today, Green USEK spread some eco-friendly joy across campus by handing out reusable USEK tote bags to our amazing students, employees, and visitors.

It's more than just a bag; it's a commitment to protecting our environment through reusable choices. A huge thank you to everyone who grabbed theirs and joined the green movement!

What can recycled materials become when guided by creativity and purpose? 🌍✨
At USEK’s Material Recovery Facility, Green USEK welcomed members of the Lebanese Girl Guides Association (JEM Mont La Salle) for a hands-on sustainability workshop.
Together, participants transformed plastic bottles, cardboard, and wood into simple animal shelters, discovering how waste can be reimagined into meaningful solutions.
The visit also introduced Green USEK’s ongoing efforts in waste management and environmental awareness, empowering the next generation to act for a more sustainable future. ♻️🌱

To celebrate Earth Hour, the USEK community traded the hum of electricity for the harmony of strings and the stroke of a brush.
We stepped away from our screens to reconnect with what truly matters: our planet, our peace, and each other. Lights across campus were switched off at night.
Through music, art, and mindful reflection, we showed that even in challenging times, our roots remain deep and our commitment to a more sustainable Lebanon remains unshakable.
