Shakeh Dance Group was established in 2007 under the patronage of the Catholicosal Vicar of the Diocese of Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates_Archbishop Goriun Babian and the Armenian Relief Society-Chapter of Kuwait, and the artistic leadership of the talented Ms. The dance group has had yearly performances since its start and has also participated in local competitions and festivals, which is c

onsidered to be a powerful way to introduce the Armenian culture and art to the foreigners. In 2010 it was invited to Abu Dhabi for charitable event and in 2014 it finally got the opportunity to perform on the stages of Armenia by participating at the pan-Armenian "Im Hayasdan" festival. Shakeh Dance Group concentrates mainly on presenting Armenian folk and traditional dances, sometimes with a modern twist, specially in the design of the costumes, but it has also presented several foreign and western dances too.
