Romans 8:15-16
In original Aramaic & Hebrew, the word “Abba” signifies an intimate, respectful, and trusting relationship with their father. How crazy is it that we can actually address the creator of the universe, the mighty Holy God as that same kind of father! Jesus did not go to the cross for us to fall back into fear, shame or hiding — but to fully receive running into our home to our father that welcomes and rejoices over us as his children! And when we forget that, the Holy Spirit is always reminding us that we are indeed children of God, over and over again!

You are safely held and protected by Jesus! He has a seat at his table just for you, a warm place to rest your head, a room in his heart — just for you! All the days of your life you shall gaze upon the beauty of the Lord as you dwell in his house.

Nothing happened.

I’ve been thinking about
how silent saturday must have been.

The kind of silence that makes you question
if everything you believed
was real.

The One they trusted was gone.
The promises felt buried with Him.
And heaven said nothing.

This is the part no one likes to stay in.

The in-between.
Where prayers feel unanswered.
Where God feels distant.
Where you don’t see movement
only waiting.

And this is where most people get it wrong:
They give up believing because waiting felt like God has stopped working.

But while the world thought the story had ended,
God was already preparing the resurrection.

So if your life feels like Saturday
hold on to hope.

In Jesus, silence will never be empty.
Silence is carrying something you cannot see yet.

John 16:33

In our day to day we are faced with trials — little things like weather, long lines in coffee shops when we’re running late, getting a flat tire — and the big things like losing a loved one, battling an illness, financial difficulties. Life is heavy, life can be exhausting, but we have this amazing friend named Jesus who wants to sit with us in the small, the big, and all the middle in between. He never promised it would be easy, but he promised to be close to us in all. He is someone to lean on, to cry with, to laugh with, and he so so good at loving us!

We were super blessed by Ywam Norway sending an outreach team. These guys spent 3 weeks praying on the streets, serving the poor , encouraging and supporting the work in churches across the city and simply being champions of God’s work in the nation. We are always grateful to receive outreach teams and hope to continue to connect wales with the nations !

So grateful for the team from Ywam Harpenden that came to serve in Cardiff bringing joy, vision and working hard, blessing and strengthening the partnership with local churches and sharing the story of Jesus in the street.
Thankful for St Mark’s, St Philip’s and Woodville Baptist Church for their loving support.
