🎊 Wishing a happy 2026 to our entire AWC Korea community. 

♥️ Thank you for a 2025 full of meet-ups, connections, volunteering, celebrating and giving back. As always, we mark the end of the calendar year with gratitude for each of our members, including those who’ve joined us recently and those who’ve traveled on to their next adventures. Thank you also to our business and community partners! We are so lucky to get to work with you.

Our 🎭 MASQUERADE gala is quickly approaching! Get your tickets now for our annual charity event, taking place:

🗓️ Friday, February 6, 2026
🕕 6:30 p.m.
📍 Grand Hyatt Seoul

Grab a mask and your 💃 dancing shoes and spend a fun-filled evening of community with us! The gala will feature 🍽️ dinner, 🎶 music, and 🏷️ live and silent auctions.

🫶 Proceeds from our annual gala support local philanthropic efforts and groups. For 2026, we’re pleased to highlight six of the charities we’ll be raising funds for:

Korea Legacy Committee (코리아레거시커미티) — Serving the elderly in need.
Open Arms Korea — Educating Korean children living in welfare homes.
Planting Love (사랑심기) — Advocating for and serving children with disabilities.
Haesimwon (혜심원) — Serving orphans in need.
Rebel Rescue — Rescuing & rehoming Korea’s abandoned dogs and cats.
Shalom House — A home for adults with disabilities.

Who doesn’t love a festive brunch and white elephant gift exchange?

With a group like ours, you can imagine the laughs and “steals” ! Also, did I mention the food? Partner restaurant Neighbours Seoul developed a special menu just for us that included savory shakshuka and avocado salmon toast!

What an event and feeling extra thankful for all who are part of this great AWC community.

December brings good vibes and good vibes were definitely had at this month’s book club event!

As the largest book club gathering of the year, we shared stories, laughs and of course shared an excellent discussion around “Small Things Like These” by Claire Keegan.

Seemed fitting to read during the holidays and a good moment to stop and reflect. Thank you ladies for the insightful conversation and points of view!

Over the weekend AWC hosted tables at both SFS and Dulwich Winter Bazaars to continue in our mission to grow and support community.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, bought American goodies and purchased candles to support Planting Love! We look forward to getting to know the new members who signed up that day and celebrate community at next year’s Gala together!!

Yesterday we capped off our ARTCaffè for AWC series with our third installment, led by AWC Member Raffaella Gallo.

This time, we visited the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA), where we explored 🖼 two major exhibitions: Korean Contemporary Art Highlights, a permanent exhibition featuring 90 works, and Kim Tschang-yeul: Retrospective, the first comprehensive exhibition dedicated to the artist since his passing.
