Today, was the first event of our new AWC Gallery-hopping series, where we explore Seoul’s art neighborhoods - one walk at a time. Led by ARTCaffè founder, Raffaella Gallo - we wandered through beautiful Hannam-dong starting at Pipe Gallery, followed by Lehmann Maupin, Foundry, PACE and ending at Amado featuring rising artist Youngjoo Cho. Cho spoke in-person to tell us about her avant-garde style and how she explores femininity and womanhood through art.

Standouts from our day included famous works by Master Korean artists at Lehmann Maupin, and the exploration of Dolce Far Niente at Foundry and all of the other wonderful art we were lucky enough to explore today. We look forward to the second in the series, and we invite you to join us!

In honor of International Women’s Day, the American Women’s Club + Korea University Business School came together to explore how small and big ideas can create real social impact. 🌍

Thank you to keynote speaker Valerie Won Lee, panelist Dr. Michelle Andersson, and our host Dr. Betty Chung for inspiring students and members to think boldly about community needs and turning ideas into action.

After collaborative workshops, one team’s idea was awarded seed funding to pressure-test their concept and bring it to life. 💡

Big congratulations to the winning team and to all those that participated today. Because when people come together with purpose, ideas become change.
