[Member News] Robert Walters Korea Held “Beyond the Break” Career Consulting Session Supporting Women Returning to Work

Robert Walters Korea recently hosted “Beyond the Break,” a career consulting and networking event designed to support women preparing to return to the workforce after a career break.

Held at the Robert Walters Korea office in Seoul, the event brought together women from diverse professional backgrounds who are considering their next career step following time away from work due to childcare, family responsibilities, or other life transitions.

The programme featured a series of sessions focused on women’s career journeys, practical job search strategies, and real-life experiences of returning to work.

Speakers shared honest and inspiring stories on balancing career development with major life changes, including parenting, career transitions, and restarting careers through contract and temporary opportunities. The event also included mentoring discussions, networking opportunities, and career consulting sessions with session speakers and Robert Walters Korea consultants.

Through “Beyond the Break,” Robert Walters Korea aimed to create an open and supportive space for professionals navigating career transitions, while encouraging continued conversations around flexible career pathways and workforce re-engagement.

Dyson Korea's Home Launch Campaign introduced a holistic vision for healthier living by unveiling three advanced home wellness innovations: the Spot+Scrub Ai robot vacuum, Clean+Wash Hygiene wet cleaner, and HushJet Compact air purifier. Centered around the "Dyson Future Home Lab" pop-up at The Hyundai Seoul and elevated by brand ambassador Park Bo-gum, the initiative translated deep local and global consumer research into practical solutions that enhance household hygiene and smart home privacy.

Launched by GSK Korea, the "Healthy Ageing Korea" campaign addresses South Korea's transition into a super-aged society and the resulting strain on national healthcare expenditures. Through a high-level policy forum and a grassroots community campaign, the initiative advocates for expanding the National Immunisation Program to include crucial adult vaccinations. The dual-track strategy aims to shift the national healthcare paradigm from treatment to prevention.

Standard Chartered Bank Korea hosted the country's first-ever Supplier Diversity & Inclusion event to introduce and embed the concept of inclusive sourcing in a market traditionally driven by cost and existing relationships. Adopting a multi-stakeholder approach, the event brought together over 100 participants, including SMEs, women-owned businesses, social enterprises, and government bodies, to demonstrate how diverse partnerships drive competitiveness and long-term growth.

Weave Living Korea has successfully disrupted Seoul's traditional housing market by launching an all-inclusive, flexible, and The company scaled its footprint to serve more than 2,000 residents and expand its global digital platform reach to over 960,000 visitors. Furthermore, the campaign actively addresses critical societal and ESG challenges by offering a low-deposit alternative to combat Korea's Jeonse fraud crisis, enhancing safety for single-person households, and focusing on sustainable urban regeneration.

WPP Media Korea celebrated a groundbreaking campaign La Roche Posay’s 50th anniversary in Seoul's Seongsu area by successfully engaging a diverse, multigenerational audience. The strategy blended an immersive offline pop-up store with targeted digital storytelling, out-of-home media, and inclusive influencer partnerships across different age and gender lines. This approach significantly amplified the brand's skincare leadership, yielding outstanding increases in brand awareness, social media engagement, and business growth.

Key initiatives include the "Coffee Roulette" mentorship program and comprehensive well-being benefits to support female career advancement, alongside a multi-generational "Reverse Mentoring" scheme.

Robert Walters Korea is advancing DEI in the Korean labour market by implementing inclusive recruitment processes that minimise unconscious bias and expand opportunities for diverse talent pools. A key achievement has been transforming the perception of contract employment, resulting in an over 200% growth in contract placements and clients seeking flexible talent solutions.

CBRE Korea endeavours to drive sustainability initiatives within Seoul‘s built environment, where buildings contribute to 71% of the city’s total greenhouse gas emissions. Aligned with CBRE‘s global SBTi-validated goal to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2040, the firm focuses heavily on reducing the carbon footprint of its clients’ properties. CBRE Korea directly influences the energy performance of major commercial buildings, helping achieve significant reductions in emissions intensity.

HSBC’s ”Blue Carbon Marine Forest Restoration“ project successfully revived coastal ecosystems near Tongyeong through data-driven seagrass transplantation and a sustainable, community-driven collaboration model. This initiative not only achieved measurable carbon absorption and financial opportunities for hundreds of local residents but also integrated with HSBC‘s internal net-zero milestones, including securing a LEED Gold certification for its office building.

MONA, implemented strategic initiatives like its ESG concierge service and a recurring partnership with Grand Hyatt Incheon. Through the initiatives, the platform safely redistributed over two tons of surplus food to vulnerable communities within a strict time window to guarantee freshness. This model successfully supported local NGOs and prevented an estimated nine tons of carbon emissions between April 2025 and March 2026.

Standard Chartered Bank Korea (SCBK) has driven environmental impact by transitioning its entire fleet of approximately 200 corporate vehicles to 100% hybrid models. By replacing the leased vehicles relied upon across its 150 country-wide branches, the bank has embedded sustainability into its everyday operations. This initiative successfully balanced environmental goals with strict performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness requirements.

WPP Media Korea led the ”On Course for GREAT“ campaign for the UK‘s Department for Business and Trade, designed to significantly boost UK-South Korea trade following a new Free Trade Agreement. To achieve a targeted incremental trade growth, the campaign introduces a ”beautiful tension between tradition and innovation.“
