평화의 친구들은 남북한운동본부를 계승, 발전한 국제 평화운동 단체입니다.
평화운동은 민족 또는 한반도의 화해와 공존을 기반으로 세계의 평화를 위한 활동으로 전개되어야 한다는 필요적 요구의 결실이며,
인도적 지원활동을 초월하는 그 자체로서의 평화운동이 절실히 필요하다는 고민의 산물입니다.
