[Weekly Focus] ๐Ÿ’ผ Business | Celltrion Expands in Europe Through France ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท

South Korean biopharmaceutical group Celltrion has completed the integration of French healthcare company Gifrer, acquired in May 2026.

With Gifrerโ€™s network of "more than 9,000 pharmacies and around 800 hospitals across France", Celltrion aims to combine its biopharma expertise and hospital-focused sales with a strong French pharmacy network.

The strategy will notably support the distribution of biosimilars and subcutaneous treatments. If the combined model proves successful in France, Celltrion plans to "gradually expand it to other European markets", making France a key step in its broader European strategy.
