On October 16, 2026, the French National Assembly in Paris hosted a landmark symposium celebrating 140 years of diplomatic relations between France and Korea, bringing together political, diplomatic, and business leaders to reflect on shared history and shape the future of bilateral cooperation.

Co-organized by FKCCI, KEY, ANAFF-ONU Corée, the France-Korea Forum, and Centre Monclar, the event explored the historical foundations of bilateral relations and the opportunities shaping their future.

From geopolitical challenges to industrial innovation, strategic investments, and global value chains, discussions highlighted the growing importance of France-Korea cooperation in an evolving international landscape. The symposium also showcased the dynamism of bilateral economic relations, the expanding presence of French companies in Korea, and new opportunities for Korean investment in France.

📖 As 2026 also marks FKCCI's 40th anniversary, the Chamber's special 140/40 commemorative book was presented, celebrating 140 years of diplomatic relations and four decades of economic cooperation between France and Korea.

✨ More than a celebration of shared history, the symposium reaffirmed a shared ambition to strengthen France-Korea relations through diplomacy, investment, innovation, and engagement from future generations.
