Over two 3-day, 2-night Healing Camps in Namwon, PSCORE welcomed North Korean defector teachers for a meaningful journey of culture, creativity, and connection. From exploring Korea‘s rich heritage to sharing moments of rest and reflection, the camp offered an opportunity to recharge and create lasting memories together.

On July 19, PSCORE partnered with Seoul Quest to bring a group of American high school students on an educational visit to the Korean DMZ and the Korean War Refugee Museum.

Through historical sites, firsthand testimony from a North Korean defector, and meaningful discussions, participants explored the realities of the Korean Peninsula and gained a deeper understanding of the ongoing impact of division and the importance of human rights.

A meaningful afternoon at the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History with students from Boston University.

After exploring the museum’s exhibitions and learning more about the democratization movement in South Korea, we had the opportunity to listen to North Korean defector and human rights advocate Kim Eun-ju share her powerful story and journey to freedom.

An inspiring experience that encouraged reflection, dialogue, and a deeper understanding of human rights and issues faced by defectors up to this day.

Last Monday, May 4th, PSCORE hosted Mr. Joh Kyeongil, a North Korean defector, for a discussion event together with the German organisation Technische Jugendfreizeit- und Bildungsgesellschaft (TJFBG) at our office in Seoul.

Mr. Joh shared his experiences of life in North Korea and his journey to South Korea, followed by a thoughtful discussion with the participants. We thank everyone for joining us and contributing to this meaningful exchange.

In the statement, the DPRK rejects allegations of involvement in cybercrime and describes them as politically motivated. The spokesperson argues that the country is being unfairly blamed for cyber incidents occurring worldwide and criticizes what it considers a double standard in international politics.
