Last week, the IRM was in Panama City, Panama, co-hosting the GCF Regional Accountability Workshop with the Independent Integrity Unit, Green Climate Fund.

The workshop highlighted the important role that both GCF Direct Access Entities (DAEs) and civil society organisations play in ensuring that project-affected people have access to effective avenues for raising concerns about GCF projects.

Thank you to the participants for sharing your experiences and engaging in the discussions. We look forward to continuing to work together to strengthen accountability and access to redress across the region.

Last week, the IRM underscored the role grievance redress in Green Climate Fund projects at the GCF Conference.

Our side event looked at GCF’s ecosystem of redress and the IRM's role in addressing complaints from project-affected people. We also introduced our "Road to Redress" board game, which walked players through our complaint handling process.
