Mite-Ugro는 광주비엔날레와 아시아 문화전당등 국책사업이 시행되는 광주광역시 도심의 재래시장에 자리하고 있으며 2009년 작가들과 기획자들의 의지에 따라 설립된 비영리 예술공간,단체이다.국제레지던시, 신진작가 창작지원, 해외교류전, 독립큐레이터 워크숍등을 진행중이며 매년 ‘놀고먹는 레지던시’를 통해 아시아를 기반으로한 작가교류와 문화교류에 힘쓰고 있다. 갤러리, 까페, 공용식당, 아카이브 도서관, 게스트하우스를 보유하고 있으며 지속적인 작가및 창작공간 교류를 통한 플랫폼 구축 장기 프로젝트를 추진중에 있다. r of Gwangju downtown where the Korean government’s projects such as Gwanju Biennale and Asia Culture Hall have placed; it was established by the will of the artists and the planning directors. We are currently working on international residency, young artists’ artwork creation supports, international exchange exhibitions, independent curators workshops, etc., and are striving for artists exchanges and culture exchanges through the residency program which is based on Asia. We have gallery, café, shared restaurant, archive library, and guest house; plus in the long run, we are planning to build a settled platform through the continuous artists and creation space exchanges.
