🥹 End of an incredible journey… as Editor-in-Chief of Annals of Coloproctology.

It was great pleasure and privillage to work with staff of the Ann Coloproctol, the editors, the reviewers, the authors and the readers from all parts of the world.

Thank you for your help, collaboration and for being such great friends.

Although I am stepping down as Editor-in-Chief I shall be a contributor, peer-reviewer and reader.

The best is yet to come. I am confident that ACP will keep on growing with the new leadership of the journal.

📢 New Research: Radiofrequency for Pilonidal Sinus 🔎
A new prospective study in the Annals of Coloproctology evaluates Radiofrequency (RF) therapy as a cutting-edge, minimally invasive alternative to laser therapy for pilonidal disease.
Following 44 patients over 6 months, the results show:
• ⏱️ Fast & Convenient: 12-minute median operative time in an outpatient setting.

Can a simple low-dose steroid injection prevent one of the most troublesome complications after stapled hemorrhoidopexy?

This study demonstrates that low-dose triamcinolone acetonide injections significantly reduced stapled hemorrhoidopexy site stricture rates and reoperations without increasing infectious complications.
