[The 8th AAWC Board Meeting and the 2nd Climate and Water Round-table, 30 July - 1 August 2025]

The 8th Board Meeting and the 2nd Climate and Water Round-table were held in and , Republic, from July 30 to August 1, 2025, with 17 parliamentarians from 9 Asian countries and representatives from public institutions, international organizations, and companies.

The meeting adopted the , calling for stronger inter-parliamentary cooperation on water security and climate resilience. It also featured diverse sessions, including policy research, Korea’s Overseas Project Session, the Business & Technology , and corporate technology exhibitions, which resulted in over 60 successful business meetings.

This gathering reaffirmed the shared commitment of Asian parliamentarians to advance climate action, water management, and sustainable development through closer cooperation and joint action.

[The 7th AAWC Board Meeting and the Climate and Water Round-table, 5-7 November 2024]

The 7th AAWC Board Meeting and the Climate and Water Roundtable were successfully held on November 5-7, 2024, in Seoul, Republic of Korea.

📌 Highlights of the 7th AAWC Board Meeting:

- 7 new board members from Korea, Nepal, and Cambodia were formally welcomed.

- H.E. Daniiar Tolonov (MP, Kyrgyz Republic) and H.E. Ju-young Kim (MP, Republic of Korea) were appointed as Vice President and Treasurer, respectively.

- Members reaffirmed their collective commitment to strengthening legislative efforts and advancing sustainable water management across Asia.

📌 Key Outcomes of the AAWC Climate and Water Roundtable:
Under the theme “Water for Shared Prosperity”, the Roundtable provided a platform for meaningful among , , , and .

- Discussions focused on AAWC’s ongoing policy research, including the 2023 Policy Research focused on Nepal and progress on the 2024 Policy Research focused on the Philippines.

- Participants explored collaborative solutions to transboundary water challenges and strategies for enhancing climate resilience in the region.
