🌊💧 Strengthening Partnerships and Expanding Opportunities at the 24th AWC Board of Council Meeting & Technical Seminar & 4th AIWW Kick-off Meeting in Manila! 💧🌊
On April 20–21 in Manila, Philippines, the Asia Water Council (AWC) successfully hosted the 24th Board of Council Meeting, Technical Seminar, and the 4th AIWW Kick-off meeting, bringing together Board members, partners, government representatives, industry leaders, and stakeholders from across the region. The events were co-hosted and organized by the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS), Manila Water Company, Inc. (MWCI), and Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (MWSI). 🙌
The AWC Board reviewed major agenda items, including the approval of the Terms of Reference (ToR) for the Youth Steering Committee (YSC), laying the foundation for strengthening youth participation and leadership in the water sector. đź‘Ąđź’ˇ
The Technical Seminar and business meetings provided opportunities for water companies to expand future business cooperation and overseas market entry with the Philippine government and water-related stakeholders. 💼🌏
The 4th AIWW Kick-off meeting marked the formal initiation of structured preparations around the three core pillars of AIWW: the Asia to World Statement, Asia Water Issue, and the Water Project Business Forum, while also defining key steps and an implementation framework to guide the preparation process moving forward. These discussions helped further develop the direction and preparation plans for the upcoming AIWW while strengthening collaboration among related organizations and partners. 🤝💧
