Our very own Ariana Kaipat, a Regional Program Specialist in Daegu South Korea, is departing for a two-week disaster response deployment in response. We send her off with pride and gratitude. She is heading to the US Territory of Guam to support communities impacted by Super Typhoon Bavi where she will work to provide comfort care and sheltering services across the islands.

For Ariana, this mission is especially personal. Raised in Rota, Northern Mariana Islands, she grew up experiencing typhoons and witnessed firsthand the support the Red Cross provided during times of crisis. Today, she is honored to give back by helping others find safety, hope, and comfort when they need it most. “This deployment is a full-circle moment for me. Having seen the impact of disasters growing up, it's an honor to serve alongside the Red Cross and help provide hope, comfort, and support to those affected.” Her dedication and willingness to answer the call exemplify the very heart of the Red Cross mission.

We wish you safe travels, strength for the days ahead, and success in helping families begin their recovery. Thank you for your commitment to helping people in need—no matter where disaster strikes.

Warm weather, good vibes, and a great turnout made last Friday's USO cookout at Camp Mujuk a memorable event!

We enjoyed spending time with service members while sharing information about how the American Red Cross supports the military community through emergency communication services, resiliency resources, and family support programs.

Thank you to the USO Camp Walker for creating opportunities to connect, serve, and strengthen our community.

🐳💧 Dive Into Water Safety with Whale Tales!

The American Red Cross is excited to host Longfellow’s Whale Tales, a fun and engaging water safety class at the Camp Walker Library!

Designed for Kindergarten through 5th grade, this interactive program teaches kids how to stay safe in and around water through stories, activities, and hands-on learning.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 While the program is geared toward younger children, everyone is welcome to join and learn!

Come make a splash while building lifesaving skills! 🌊

👶🧸 There's Still Time to Register! 🧸👶

Looking for a great way for your teen to gain valuable life skills this summer? The American Red Cross Babysitter's Training with Pediatric First Aid/CPR is still accepting registrations!

Designed for youth ages 11–16, this course teaches participants how to care for infants and children, handle emergencies, stay safe while babysitting, and build confidence as responsible caregivers. Participants will also receive Pediatric First Aid/CPR training and earn a certification valid for two years.

⏰ 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
💲 Only $18

Light snacks will be provided. Participants should bring their own lunch.
