The Sitara Association had the opportunity to engage with Douleurs Sans Frontières during meetings held in Ngazidja and Ndzuani.

These meaningful and productive discussions allowed us to share experiences, assess current capacities, and identify practical ways to strengthen palliative care in the Comoros.

This collaboration marks an important step toward more compassionate, inclusive, and patient-centered care.

We sincerely thank ACCF Comores for making this engagement possible.

Today, Association Sitara joined a peaceful march organized by NGO Hifadhwi in observance of the 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐕𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐬.

This event brings together civil society around a clear and powerful message: 𝐍𝐨 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧, 𝐧𝐨 𝐠𝐢𝐫𝐥 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞. In memory of those who have tragically lost their lives, we walk together to speak out against all forms of violence and to reaffirm our commitment to dignity, equality, and justice.

At Sitara, we believe that every voice matters and every action can make a difference. Let’s stand together for a future free from violence.

Today, November 22, 2025, hundreds of people joined the collective walk organized by ONG Santé Diabète, in collaboration with OMS Comores, Ministère de la Santé, Union des Comores, and several partner organizations, including Association Sitara.

From the Palais du Peuple to the Place de l’Indépendance, the 3-km walk brought the community together in a spirit of solidarity, followed by a one-hour aerobics session aimed at promoting physical activity and prevention.

The participation of the Minister of Health, his team, the WHO Representative in Comoros, and many volunteers underscored the importance of this nationwide effort.

Association Sitara is proud to have been part of this initiative, reaffirming its commitment to diabetes prevention, community support, and promoting overall well-being.

Together, let’s continue moving toward a healthier, more active, and better-informed nation.

World Prematurity Day will be observed tomorrow at the Retaj Hotel. On this occasion, the Sitara Association joins the National Hospital Center El-Maarouf for a day dedicated to raising awareness about prematurity and supporting affected families.

Free activities will be available from 𝟎𝟖:𝟎𝟎 𝐀𝐌 𝐭𝐨 𝟒:𝟎𝟎 𝐏𝐌, including:
• Awareness and education on prematurity and the importance of maternal and newborn care
• Information and guidance for parents and families
• Screening for diabetes and its risk factors:
o Blood pressure
o Weight and height
o Waist circumference
o BMI calculation
