Deworming and Health Support Across EYC community centers

Last week, our three EYC community centers took part in a successful deworming project aimed at improving students’ health and well-being. A total of 712 students—from both adult and kids’ classes—received deworming pills, helping ensure better health and school attendance.

In addition, 78 students were provided with lice shampoo as part of our ongoing effort to maintain good hygiene and health awareness among learners.

We’re proud of this collective effort to keep our students healthy.

🏸 Badminton Tournament 🏸

This past Sunday, 32 students and teachers came together for the EYC Badminton Tournament — and it was nothing short of amazing! 4 rounds of fierce but friendly competition, plenty of smiles, and a whole lot of team spirit!

Congratulations to Chhenglim and Sovatana, our tournament champions! 🏆✨

Thank you to Volunteer Alex and Teacher Seila, who put in so much effort to organize the entire event!

This is what EYC is all about — growing together, on and off the court.

✨ University Student Highlight- Kim Chanpisey ✨

This week, we are featuring Pisey, a second-year student at Asia Europe University and one of EYC's proudest alumni! 🌟

Pisey began her journey with us through the TVET program, where she trained as a chef for 2 years and built a foundation of hard work and determination. Today, she's leveling up — serving as an assistant teacher while sharpening her English skills and chasing something even bigger: her very own restaurant!

Her motto? "One step at a time."

Pisey's story reminds us that the path to success isn't always straight — but every skill learned, every class attended, and every dream held close is never wasted.

Thank you Pisey for sharing your story and goals! Keep going — your restaurant awaits!

-Robotics Lab-

After 6 weeks of training at Canadian International School of Phnom Penh, our EYC students completed their robotics program in the best way possible — with a robot battle! 🤖⚡

Throughout the program, students designed and built their own robots, developed their own programs, and put everything to the test in a live competition in the robotics arena. Seeing their hard work, creativity, and problem-solving skills come together in the final battle was truly something special.

We are so grateful to CIS Phnom Penh for this wonderful partnership and for providing our students with such a unique and inspiring learning experience. We look forward to continuing to grow together!

A Morning with CIS students

We were so happy to welcome 24 students from the Canadian International School of Phnom Penh for a great morning of hands-on activities with our students! 💙

The CIS students from Grades 9 and 12 prepared creative art activities and games. They shared them with so joy, kindness, and enthusiasm at our two EYC community centers.

In addition, the students generously prepared gifts and educational materials for all of our students to support their learning and studies. 📚🎁

A huge thank you to all the CIS students and staff involved for your time, generosity, and positive spirit. We truly appreciated this special visit and look forward to the next time together!

✨ University Student Highlight-Man Rachhun ✨

Meet Rachhun — 19 years old, Credit Officer by day, Creative Multimedia student by night, and an example of what determination looks like.

Rachhun has been part of the EYC family since 2015, and this year he completed Grade 12 with a Grade C — earning himself an EYC university scholarship to study Creative Multimedia (Year 1) at Norton University.

But for Rachhun, education has always been about more than a degree:

"EYC has not only taught me English and computer skills, but also discipline, ethics, and how to live a dignified life."

Rachhun juggles a full-time job while chasing his passion for photography and multimedia. You may have already seen his work — he's been behind the camera at EYC workshops and recently joined the team for EYC's upcoming podcast recording project.

To Rachhun, this scholarship isn't just support — it's a launchpad.

"I hope to work hard to develop my skills further."

Mentorship Program Workshop #2: Healthy Living 🌱

This week, our students explored the importance of healthy living by learning about nutrition, healthy habits, and making choices that support their overall well-being.

Through interactive discussions and activities conducted by Seang Ly, students reflected on how small daily actions can lead to a healthier lifestyle and a stronger future. 💚

To end the workshop, each student received a planner sheet where they created their own “ideal healthy day” and wrote down 3 healthy habits they will practice this week. From drinking more water to getting enough sleep and eating nutritious meals, students are taking positive steps toward healthier lives! ✨

We are proud to see our students building healthy habits and learning how to take care of both their minds and bodies. 🌟

🌟University Student Highlight: Thai Sreyleak🌟

Meet Thai Sreyleak — a determined Public Administration student with a passion for leadership and service ✨

Sreyleak is pursuing her studies to build strong leadership skills, gain expertise in office management, and one day serve as a civil servant in a government institution or ministry. Her journey hasn’t been easy—but it’s a powerful story of resilience.

After not passing her Grade 12 Baccalaureate exam in early 2024, she didn’t give up. Instead, she dedicated herself to self-study while volunteering with CYF and EYC. Through hard work and determination, she successfully passed the exam in 2025—proving that persistence truly pays off.

At EYC, Sreyleak has actively participated in English, Computer, and Leadership classes, and now serves as a Team Leader—showing her commitment to growth, responsibility, and helping others. With the support of an EYC university scholarship, she is continuing her education and working toward her dreams.
“Education is an important weapon to change my life for the better and gives me the opportunity to learn new things.”
Sreyleak also shares her gratitude:“EYC has provided me with many opportunities to strengthen my skills and even allowed me to work as a library tutor. This means so much to me because I’ve always dreamed of sharing knowledge with others.”

We are proud to support students like Sreyleak who turn challenges into motivation and continue striving for a brighter future. 🌟
