His-story
Our Story is HIS story. We are only the tools God is using to accomplish the work.
God has called us to the mission field of Cambodia in later part 2000. After many short trips the Carson family moved permanently to Cambodia to help establish and run A Greater Hope orphanage under back then Calvary Chapel Fallbrook international NGO. After establishing ourselves raising up local leadership and fully running a growing ministry, CCF allowed us to transform from an International NGO into a National NGO. This allowed us to make real time decision based upon our needs with local understanding of the ever changing needs here. We are now known as A Greater Hope NGO Our project A Greater Hope Orphanage was established in 2005 and we expect this ministry to come to a conclusion in 2023 as the need for orphanages in Cambodia is no the same as it was 20 years ago. Our project A Heart for Wisdom school established in 2010 was born out of the need to better care for and manage the welfare of our orphan children. The public school, to put it nicely was not helpful in us reaching our goals with our children.
Today AGH is winding down after reaching a peak of 41 children the children are graduating and being reunited with their families that they had before. As the country has bettered the family situation has bettered with living support few of the orphans are now home and still attend our school and church. The school is growing and by 2025 we expect to have over 1000 students enrolled in P - 12th grade. Our over all vision is to have a student body of 3000; 1/3 of the estimated child population in our area. A Heart for Wisdom’s name is taken from Proverbs 2:10 and we desire to be a decisively Christian school. We desire to make Christians of our students and reach their families as well. The fruit of this work is over half the student body accepting Christ as their savior and many, many of their parents have come to Christ as well. The school is rated top in our State/province competing against 53 other public, private, Christian and not Christian schools. The difference is the obedience to God’s Calling upon our lives and the Vision He’s given us to follow. It’s His story we’re just the tools. Join us!
