Our Family Empowerment Project has been busy providing training to three women’s groups on the risks in pregnancy and birth 👩🏽‍🍼🤰🏽

The women shared their experiences while learning about:
• staying healthy during pregnancy
• recognising danger signs
• the importance of prenatal care
• preparing for birth

These trainings play an important role in helping vital knowledge spread throughout the villages and be passed on to future generations 🌱🇰🇭

Our projects focus on prevention and care for rural communities. In April, we participated in the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) Gathering Meeting, where members of the Chab Dai coalition came together to share ideas, challenge assumptions, and strengthen collaboration on critical issues such as migration, online scams, forced marriage, and online child sexual exploitation (OCSE).

Through this engagement, we gained valuable insights, built stronger partnerships, and further aligned our efforts to address these growing challenges.

Samphos almost had to stop school.

Her father died when she was just a baby. Not long after, her mother left to remarry in China, and Samphos was raised between both sets of grandparents. For a time, she lived in a small, remote village in the forest - far from school, often alone while her grandparents worked.

When she finally had the chance to start school, it almost didn’t last. There simply wasn’t enough money.

Through ACTS, Samphos received a school pack—uniform, supplies, the basics she needed to stay.

Now, she’s in class. Learning. Growing. Dreaming of becoming a teacher so she can help children like her.

She’s one of 170 children with a story like this.

Since 2015, AOC has been a constant support for our students from remote villages. We walk with them through primary school, secondary school and high school.

Recently, we brought together ACTS students from secondary and high schools in six different villages with one shared dream: a better future through education. We guide them to stay committed to their learning, help them set clear academic and career goals, and support them in learning. We believe that when students feel supported, they can grow stronger to achieve their dreams. 💭🤝✏️🌿

In many rural communities, women still feel shy discussing reproductive health. FEP creates safe spaces where they can learn about the menstrual cycle, puberty, and proper hygiene care🩸🌸
We also share guidance on the benefits of using sanitary pads, helping them be confident in their health 💪🏽

This knowledge is powerful… not just for these women, but for their daughters and future generations! 🌱✨

Our team had an amazing time celebrating Khmer New Year 2026 together!

We had a great time at the flooded forest (Koh Han), with fun games, good food, and plenty of laughs. It was a nice chance to relax and spend time together as a team 😁🏝️🛶

Sustainable development is not just about providing water pumps, it’s about empowering the local people who will keep the water flowing 💧

We train water committees to do basic repairs and maintenance on their hand pumps, equipping them to manage and care for it themselves with confidence! 🛠️🌱
