Almamatercambodia is a local, non-profit organization. Alma-ma have been working with the poor children of Sihanoukville. Today we work with over 57 students, 4 sewing girls and their families in the Sihanoukville area. This project has been operating since 2011 to provide free education to those children whose families cannot afford to pay so, as a qualifies English teacher. Haldis and friends s
et up education in the fishing village. Students are really interested with education, and the opportunities they need to build a better life. We provide education programs, training computer, and support for their families businesses. An example of this is to install solar lights in the children families. They are learning morning, afternoons and evenings for full time and part time. If you are interested in volunteering with us or learning more about our projects please get in touch with....
Messages from Mr Ra
Thank you very much for taking the time to read this report. With more and more children and families being reached through our programs each month, it is sometimes too busy to just step back and reflect on everything that happens in a year. In 2011 our project was created, by a group of Haldis from Norway. The project itself has enabled so many good things to happen every year. It is my pleasure to share this report with Haldis and a group of her friends. Fortunately they have been able to look at a few numbers and statistics, and more importantly to share a few stories of the children and families that have been impacted by the work Mr Ra does. I am very proud of what the Norwegian people have been able to accomplish in 2011 in regards to funding our programs for poor families. We understand that no progress would have been possible without the help of our government and non-government partners, the local community, and the generous support of so many wonderful individuals and groups from Norway. On behalf of the students and parents from the poor community of a fishing village; I would sincerely like to thank you for starting and supporting many students’ lives in this area. Your generous support has enabled the success of this program, which has become crucial for many students with education. Now, the children are receiving education in the public and private schools. This has given them an opportunity to make a better life for themselves and their families. The children and parents really appreciate all you are doing for them. The children have happily committed to use this opportunity you have given them, in providing education, logic and psychology. Since your program has been started, students have been empowered to learn by using language, through listening, reading, speaking and writing. The students have a good understanding of them and can learn best if they can relate what they are learning directly to themselves. Again thank you for caring about the children in poor area. We wish you good luck, good health and good happiness. The Back to School Program assists families who cannot afford to send their children to public school or private school. My lifetime ambition is to provide free education to those children whose families cannot afford to pay. Almamatercambodia strives to provide the opportunity for people to turn their life around and overcome obstacles they never thought he would. Although public school is officially free for all Cambodian children, families are still required to pay for school uniforms, books and supplies. For many of the poorest families even these costs prevent them from sending their children for an education. We have learned that effective and regular follow-up of children in the Back to School Program is essential for the program success. This has been ensured through regular montly visits by the school or village. Education we work with; each child is followed up by their school rule and our schedule. Education programs
Education Activities 2017, 57 students and 4 sewing girls are going to study at private school and the public school. We have seven to eighteen student ages ; they did not have the chance to start school. When they Education, helps children and youth who have never been to school (or have been out of school for a long time) catch up with their studies. The goal of the Mr- Ra Program” is that one day its students will join the local public school system at a grade level suitable for their age. I am very proud of Haldis and her friends supported since 2011, they along with more than 18 other children are attending local public school with support of Mr Ra “Back to School” program. Although education at public schools is officially free, many parents simply cannot afford the required books and supplies, uniforms, transportation, and ‘extra’ fees that underpaid government school teachers sometimes ask for. While in the “Back to School” program, Mr- Ra and Haldis from Norway like all the others in the program will also be followed up regularly by the Education Team. Thank you for your Donations
