CYA – Global Education Center (GEC) Siem Reap is a non-profit education center started in the August of 2016. The volunteering activity’s purpose is to provide free education for children and teenagers in languages, computer and have the access to the global information. The young students, through internet, will have their first opportunity to meet, know and interact with people from different cultures and backgrounds.
In addiction, the Handicraft center will improve the development of the area involving local women to have a job beside working in the fields and in the house. GEC need the mental and physical contribution of young and motivated volunteers. With different experiences, lifestyle, cultural background, the volunteers can help to give the opportunity to children to discover, learn and live the global community and the global opportunities.
We are working in cooperation with Angkor Voluntary Guesthouse who gives accommodation to our international volunteers and supplies us with our office. Find more information on the web page and page of the guest house.
CYA Global Education Center of Siem Reap is one of the project sites of Cambodian Youth Action (CYA). CYA also has another informal educational center called CYA Learning Center in Ruseydom Village, Kampot Province. CYA runs an environmental conservation project in Teuk Chhou district, Kampot where we cooperate with Eco-tourism Trapaing Sangke fishery community to plant, seed and maintain the mangrove.
