Smells Like Siem Reap Spirit

Smells Like Siem Reap Spirit Smells Like Siem Reap Spirit is a non-profit organization that aims to help the working class people of Siem Reap. Lots of young Cambodians do not go to school.

Our main aim is to make no money for our self...THIS TIME FOR CAMBODIA! Healthcare is a huge problem in Siem Reap because there is no free healthcare. All hospitals charge different prices so working class people can’t realistically afford to go to a good hospital. When there is an accident, such as car or motorbike crash, people may need to pay someone to take them to the hospital. Some people th

erefore may be taken to an expensive hospital where the working class is unable to pay. If the person is unable to pay the doctor, the will receive poor health care. Even though education is free for Khmers, working class parents might not be able to afford the uniform fee, lunch, books and other educational resources. Some parents might choose to send their children to work because they are unable to afford these expenses. This shows that the education in Cambodia is not completely accessible for all. The lack of education of Cambodians will cause problems because if there are less students in schools, it does not hold a bright future for the next generation of Cambodia. The drug culture in Siem Reap is a huge problem. Drugs are readily available whether they are offered to tourists, expats and locals, or even if they are requested by the latter. Narcotics such as co***ne, ma*****na, o***m and other substances can cause physical and psychological problems. As well as the side effects and the behavior of individuals on these drugs can cause problems for locals and overall gives Siem Reap, Cambodia’s biggest tourist destination, a bad name.
