Temple Garden Foundation TGF works in partnership with local villages in Cambodia to improve livelihoods through sustainable development and the empowerment of communities.

Founded in 2008 Temple Garden Foundation (TGF) works in partnership with local villages in Cambodia to improve livelihoods through sustainable development and the empowerment of communities. It supports projects which maximise community participation and minimise external support in four interconnected areas: children’s education, health, income generation and water and sanitation.

In March, TGF had the pleasure of welcoming Grade 5 students, parents, and teachers from UWCSEA Singapore for a special Service Week in Cambodia.
UWCSEA has been a long-term partner and yearly supporter of TGF’s work in Chi Kraeng District through fundraising activities led by their Grade 5 students. The visit gave students and families the opportunity to better understand firsthand how their efforts help support schools, children, and communities in rural Cambodia, while also building meaningful friendships and cultural exchange experiences.
During the week, students joined activities connected to TGF’s ongoing programs, including school gardening, library activities, sports and games, and visits to biodigester and piped water projects.
Thank you again to the entire UWCSEA community for your continued partnership and support.

Recently, TGF organized First Aid and Electricity Safety trainings for teachers and community kindergarten staff from 6 primary schools and 7 community kindergartens in Chi Kraeng district. A total of 24 participants joined the First Aid Training, learning practical skills such as CPR, choking response, drowning, burns, fractures, wound care, and emergency response. All participants successfully passed the post-test assessment.
In addition, 25 participants attended the Electricity Safety Training, focusing on safe electricity use, electrical tools and equipment, basic electrical connections, and system maintenance.
These trainings help strengthen school safety and build practical knowledge to support safer learning environments for children and communities.

This week, our Education team together with our Water and Sanitation team conducted a parent awareness activity at Lveang Russei Primary School with participation from 30 parents, 1 librarian, and 2 teachers.
The session focused on the role and importance of the school library, how educational games can support children’s learning at home, and encouraging parents to use the library as a tool for lifelong learning.
In addition, our Water and Sanitation Program shared information about WinSchool activities, including handwashing, health and hygiene education, latrine renovation, and waste management, as well as home gardening activities.
Parents were encouraged to actively participate in school activities and become positive role models for children both at home and in the community. We believe that parent engagement is a key element in our school activities, and therefore such meetings and activities are an important part of all our program work.

ក្នុងសប្តាហ៍នេះ ក្រុមការងារកម្មវិធីអប់រំរួមជាមួយក្រុមការងារកម្មវិធីទឹកស្អាត និងអនាម័យរបស់យើងបានពង្រឹងការយល់ដឹងដល់មាតាបិតានៅសាលាបឋមសិក្សាល្វែងឬស្សី ដោយមានការចូលរួមពីមាតាបិតា 30 នាក់ បណ្ណារក្ស 1 នាក់ និងលោកគ្រូអ្នកគ្រូ 2 នាក់ ។
វគ្គនេះផ្តោតជាសំខាន់ទៅលើតួនាទីនិងសារៈសំខាន់នៃបណ្ណាល័យ របៀបនៃការប្រើប្រាស់ល្បែងសិក្សាដែលអាចជួយដល់ការរៀនសូត្ររបស់កុមារនៅផ្ទះ និងលើកទឹកចិត្តឪពុកម្តាយឱ្យប្រើប្រាស់បណ្ណាល័យជាឧបករណ៍សម្រាប់ការសិក្សាពេញមួយជីវិត។

As of May 2026, our Community Piped Water System in O-Samaki has connected 100 new households this year, bringing the total number of connected households to 313 families with access to filtered piped water for safe daily usage.
The system is community-owned and managed, helping ensure long-term local sustainability and access to clean water.
Throughout the last weeks, TGF met several times with the water user committee to provide ongoing training and support on system maintenance, management, and cleaning to help ensure safe and reliable operation of the water system.
Clean water and community ownership continue to be key parts of building healthier communities in Chi Kraeng.

Library Renovation Assessment
Recently, TGF brought together key stakeholders, including commune chiefs, school management committees, school directors, teachers, librarians, the main carpenter, and TGF program staff, to jointly assess the recent library renovation work. The assessment focused on the final works and handover of new furniture, lighting, electricity, fans, ceiling work, painting, and overall learning environment upgrades.
This work has been carried out in three schools: Ta Phnea, Kdei Beng, and Prey Toteung. Following the renovation assessments, more than 3,000 books have already been delivered to the libraries.
In the next steps, 25 tables and additional TTO learning materials will be provided to each school, as well as librarian training and parent engagement activities.
The libraries are already open for children and operating on a regular schedule to support reading and learning activities.

ថ្មីៗនេះ TGF បានប្រមូលផ្តុំអ្នកពាក់ព័ន្ធសំខាន់ៗ រួមមានមេឃុំ គណៈកម្មការគ្រប់គ្រងសាលារៀន នាយកសាលា គ្រូបង្រៀន បណ្ណារក្ស ជាងឈើ និងបុគ្គលិកអង្គការ TGF ដើម្បីវាយតម្លៃរួមគ្នាលើការងារជួសជុលបណ្ណាល័យថ្មីៗនេះ។ ការវាយតម្លៃនេះផ្តោតលើការងារចុងក្រោយ និងការផ្ទេរគ្រឿងសង្ហារឹមថ្មី អំពូលភ្លើង កង្ហារ ការងារពិដាន ការលាបពណ៌ និងការធ្វើឱ្យប្រសើរឡើងនូវបរិស្ថានសិក្សាក្នុងបណ្ណាល័យទាំងមូល។
