The Green Season has arrived in Cambodia. 🌿

After months of dust and dry fields, the first rains have started to fall. The countryside is beginning to transform. Rice paddies are filling with water, trees are bursting back into life, and everywhere you look there is a fresh shade of green.

For us, it is one of the most beautiful times of year.

While the weather changes, life at our school carries on as normal. This week our students have been busy learning, laughing, and working hard towards a brighter future.

Sometimes it's easy to focus on the big projects and improvements, but the heart of what we do is right here in these everyday moments. Children turning up eager to learn. Teachers giving their all. Lessons being taught. Futures being built.

As we head deeper into the Green Season, we wanted to share a few photos from this week and give you a glimpse of what your support makes possible every single day.

Thank you for being part of their journey. ❤️

💔 The rains are coming... and that's a problem.

Many of you will remember that during the border crisis we helped provide dignity packs, clothing and other emergency support for displaced Cambodian families.

Today we're asking for your help again.

Since December, thousands of people have been living in temporary camps after being forced to leave their homes near the border. What was meant to be temporary has now stretched into months.

Last week, a friend of ours who works closely with the Provincial Government took us to see one of the camps.

Row after row of tents.

Families trying to build a life while waiting for the day they can finally go home.

The biggest concern right now isn't food.

It isn't electricity.

It's the rainy season.

As the rains arrive, water begins collecting around toilets, washing areas and pathways. Mosquitoes breed in stagnant water and the risk of diseases such as dengue and chikungunya increases dramatically.

The solution sounds surprisingly simple.

Gravel.

A truckload costs just $130 to deliver.

That gravel helps drain away standing water and makes these areas safer for the families who use them every day.

Families are also building raised wooden platforms so they can sleep off the ground when flooding occurs.

We've already paid for one truckload of gravel.

Now we'd love to help fund more.

Sometimes making a difference isn't about huge amounts of money.

Sometimes it's about helping stop a puddle becoming a breeding ground for disease.

If you'd like to help us support these families through the months ahead, please send us a message.

As always, we'll keep you updated on exactly where every donation goes.

Thank you for standing with Cambodia when it needs it most. ❤️

Yesterday we were invited to the local pagoda near our school for an important community meeting with the parents of our students.

The village chief spoke first. Then one of the monks addressed the families about something very simple, but incredibly important.

Education.

In rural Cambodia, monks are deeply respected. Their words carry real weight in a way outsiders often can’t.

And the message was clear:
Children need to stay in school if they are going to have opportunities beyond village life.

It really reminded us how different perspectives can be here.

Many families have never travelled outside their local area. They haven’t seen the wider world or the opportunities education can create.

If generations before you worked in the rice fields, struggled financially, and never had access to schooling themselves, it can be difficult to imagine a different future for your children.

That’s why these conversations matter so much.
Not because parents don’t care about their children. They absolutely do.
But sometimes people need help seeing that another path is possible.

A stable job. Independence. Choices. Confidence. A future where their children don’t have to struggle in the same way they did.

Seeing the village leaders, monks, teachers and families all coming together for that shared goal felt really powerful.

Change here happens slowly. But it is happening. ❤️

As a small charity we cannot change the world. In fact sometimes the enormity of the task makes you even wonder is it worth it. But then you have a breakthrough and you realise why you do it. Why we are living here, what it is that drives us every day.

We shared with you the story of Akada and the terrible living conditions. The first part was to get her registered back at school and to get her a bike, within minutes of posting that you kindly came forward and offered support, the bike was bought and she was back at school and so happy.

But the next part was to get a new well, a bathroom, improved living conditions. We were prepared to take it on, we knew with your help we could do something but sometimes you have to realise that our role is not always to do, sometimes it’s to find collaborators and work with them.

We had a meeting with a foundation who help administer our school project. They arranged a meeting with Akida and her family. They discovered unfortunately a story of alcoholism and gambling, the parents were stopping her going to school as they wanted her to stay at home to look after another of their children.

But an agreement was made and signed. If they allowed and encouraged Akada to go to school then they would:
1) support her with everything she needs to continue schooling
2) build a toilet for her family
3) donate a well and water filter
4) build a personal room just for her.

The village chief has also agreed to support and ensure the agreement is stuck to.

The work starts next month.

It’s amazing, we cried, we hugged, we celebrated and it just inspired us to help even more children like Akada.

As always thank you for being part of this journey.

On Tuesday, Akada received her new bike ❤️

Last week she restarted high school, travelling on the back of a friend’s bike just so she could get there. Now she can make the journey herself.

The smile on her face said everything.

For many people, a bike is just a bike. For Akada, it’s freedom. It’s independence. It’s one less barrier standing between her and an education.

We’ve known Akada since the very beginning of our project and watching her continue school despite the challenges she faces makes us incredibly proud.

This feels like the first real stage in helping her become an independent young woman.

Next step… improving her living conditions.

Thank you to everyone supporting these children with us.

You genuinely change lives, one step at a time ❤️

So today we visited Elephant Valley Project to see Ning Wan, the elephant that we help to support.
It was an amazing experience, and we would recommend anyone coming to Cambodia to come visit.
The elephants live in as near natural habitat as you can get, but with better care.
Ning Wan is 70 years old and the matriarch.
She doesn't have any teeth and wouldn't survive in the wild. But here, they prepare food for her. They prepare sweet potatoes, peel bananas and papaya, giving her essential nutrients.
They couldn't keep doing this without help from donors.
We're extremely proud to be helping and we had the best day ❤️

Last week, our children sat their quarterly exams.

Moments like this remind us why this little school in rural Siem Reap matters so much. Every test taken is a step forward… not just in education, but in confidence, opportunity, and belief in what’s possible.

We’ll be back in a couple of weeks, and honestly, we can’t wait to see those smiling faces again. That energy, that joy, it stays with you long after you leave.

Thank you to everyone who supports us and makes this possible. You’re part of every single one of these moments 🤍

🎈 What a way to say see you soon! 🎈
Today we threw a leaving party for our incredible kids at Prey School and honestly… we might need a week to recover! 😂

We unleashed 100 children onto a balloon-bursting battlefield — one balloon each tied to their ankle, last one standing wins.

Health & safety? Never heard of it!

Pure chaos, pure joy, and honestly one of the best things we've ever witnessed. 🏆

We brought sandwiches, drinks, snacks, played pass the parcel, and laughed until our faces hurt.

These kids gave us everything today and we are going to miss them so, so much. ❤️

As we head back to Europe and the UK for a couple of months, our hearts are absolutely full. This is why we do what we do. See you soon, little ones. 🇰🇭✈️🇬🇧

If you'd love to be part of what makes days like this possible, by sponsoring a child or a one off donation, drop us a message. Every bit helps keep the smiles coming. 💛

🏫 We bought them a classroom.

No fundraising. No campaign. Just us — because they needed it.

On Tuesday, our 3rd outdoor classroom was delivered to the learning centre.

We'd outgrown our two existing classrooms. Our older students were struggling to concentrate with lessons overlapping, and they deserve better than that.

So we made it happen.

249 children. Choosing to show up. Outside of school hours. Because they want a better future.

The least we could do is make sure they have the space to learn in.

Watch the video to see it arrive 👆

If you'd like to help us keep going:
💛 £5/month — learning materials
💛 £10/month — materials + teaching support
💛 £20/month — full sponsorship
Every penny goes directly to the children. 🙏

Drop us a message if you'd like to help us

It's our 2nd birthday, and we're so proud.
It started on a simple visit for a friend.
Then a charity was born.

A small rural school.
Children turning up by choice.
Giving their time because they believe learning English can give them more options in life.

Today, it is very real.

These children come outside of their normal schooling, smiling, curious and determined to do better for themselves. We have been lucky enough to have volunteers join us along the way, giving their time, patience and encouragement in the classroom.

Many of those volunteers are also sponsors.

They are not just names on a page. They are people who have stood at the whiteboard, helped with reading, laughed through lessons and seen first-hand just how much these children want to learn.

One of our proudest moments
One of our students starts a scholarship this October.
Two years ago, she could not speak a single word of English.

That is what consistency and care can do.

If you would like to support the school, here is what your monthly sponsorship provides:

£5 per month
📚 Gives a child the learning materials they use every week. Pens, paper, books and resources.

£10 per month
📚👩‍🏫 Fully supports a child’s learning. Their materials plus the teacher guiding them week after week.

£20 per month
📚👩‍🏫👕 Gives a child a complete school place. Learning materials, teaching and their school uniform so they can attend with confidence and pride.

And if one day you wanted to come and see it for yourself, sponsors are always welcome to join us and teach alongside the volunteers. No pressure. Just an open door and a classroom full of smiles.

We cannot help every child.
But we can change the future for the ones who walk through our door.

If you would like to sponsor a child or find out more, please message me.
