🎉 Celebrating 10 years of Christina School! 🎉

This year’s anniversary is especially meaningful because it marks the first 10 years of our school, 10 years since we started dreaming, believing, and working together to create opportunities through education for children in the Bakong community.

Over the past decade, Christina School has provided free English education to hundreds of children, creating a safe place where they can learn, grow, and dream about their future. Every smile, every lesson, and every achievement has been possible thanks to the incredible support of our community, volunteers, and donors.

Here are some photos and videos from our 10th anniversary celebration, a day filled with laughter, games, performances, and unforgettable moments. Seeing the joy on the children’s faces reminds us why this mission matters and inspires us to keep going.

As we celebrate this milestone, we also look ahead. Our work is far from over, and we still rely on donations to provide learning materials, maintain the school, and continue offering free education to the children who need it most. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us keep this dream alive.

Dream Big Cambodia is looking for passionate volunteers to join our team and help provide free English education to children in rural Cambodia.

You don't need to be a professional teacher. You just need an open heart, a willingness to learn, and a desire to make a genuine difference. The friendships you'll build, the smiles you'll share, and the memories you'll create will stay with you long after you leave.

This past week at Dream Big Cambodia, we celebrated Mother’s Day with full hearts 💛

Behind every smile, every lesson learned, and every dream growing in our classrooms, there is often a mother making sacrifices quietly every single day. From working long hours in the fields to waking up early to prepare food, support their families, and encourage their children to keep studying, their strength inspires us endlessly.

Many of our students come from families with very little, yet their mothers continue to give everything they can so their children can have opportunities they never had themselves.

Education is not only built inside the classroom. It is also built through a mother’s love, resilience, and belief in her children’s future.

To all the amazing mothers in our community and around the world: thank you for your unconditional love, your sacrifices, and your endless strength. 🌸

This week at Dream Big Cambodia, we celebrated International Women’s Day, a day to celebrate the strength, resilience, and potential of women and girls everywhere in the world 🌏

For us, this day is especially meaningful. Many of the girls in our community grow up facing challenges that can make education and opportunity harder to reach. But every day, we see their courage, determination, and dreams.

At Dream Big Cambodia, we believe that when a girl learns, a whole community grows stronger. Education gives girls the confidence to raise their voices, the tools to build their futures, and the power to inspire the next generation.

Some of the girls who once sat in our classrooms as shy students are now becoming role models for the younger ones, proof that dreams can grow when someone is given the chance.

We celebrate our girls, our female teachers, our volunteers, and every woman who continues to break barriers and lift others along the way.

🧡 Some posts are extra special to write 🧡

Soknin has been with us since 2017. She was just a young student back then, a bit shy, always kind, always trying her best. We’ve watched her grow up inside these classrooms.

And now… she’s standing at the front of one.

Soknin is in her first year at University of South-East Asia, studying TESOL (teaching English), and during her busy exam season she’s also teaching our ABC1 class at Dream Big Cambodia, our tiniest students, the ones learning their very first ABCs.

Seeing her guide them so gently feels emotional in a way that’s hard to explain.

She’s still figuring out exactly what she wants her future to look like, and that’s completely okay. What matters is that she keeps showing up. She keeps learning. She keeps trying. And now, she’s giving back.

This is what community means to us.

Not just volunteers coming and going.
Not just lessons.
But young girls from our village growing into confident women who lead the next generation.

Today we celebrate Sokvat 🧡🎂
Not just because it’s her birthday, but because her story is everything Dream Big Cambodia stands for.

Sokvat first walked into our school in 2017 as a student, full of curiosity and quiet determination. Years later, she stands in front of the classroom as a local teacher, guiding the next generation with patience, kindness, and so much heart.

Watching her grow from a student into a role model for our younger learners is a dream come true for Dream Big Cambodia. Education doesn’t just open doors, it creates leaders, confidence, and futures rooted in giving back.

Sokvat, we are so proud of you. Thank you for your dedication, your smile, and for believing in the power of learning and community.

🧡 2016 wasn’t just a trend for us, it was the beginning of a dream 🚀✨

In 2016, Dream Big Cambodia was born, with a small classroom, big hearts, and an even bigger belief: that every child deserves access to education, opportunity, and hope.

These photos take us back to where it all started. No many students nor volunteers. No fancy resources. Just a small group of children eager to learn, a few volunteers full of passion, and a community believing in something bigger than themselves.

Almost a decade later, that same dream is still alive 🥰 growing stronger because of people like you, supporting all these years Dream Big Cambodia.

A new year means new beginnings, new learnings, and new faces joining our journey. Volunteers from all corners of the world are once again stepping into our classrooms, sharing their time, energy, and hearts to support our students and our community.

Every lesson taught, every word learned, every smile shared reminds us that education changes lives and community makes us stronger 💛
