Life and Hope Association (LHA)

Life and Hope Association (LHA) LHA is a non-profitable, non-governmental and non-political organization. It was established in 2005 Bringing HOPE into LIFE through EDUCATION!!!

Life and Hope Association (LHA) is a non-profit, non-governmental and an education-focused organization. It was established in 2005 and run by monks of Wat Damnak in Siem Reap, Cambodia. We are committed to breaking the cycle of poverty by providing compassionate care and access to education to the poorest and most vulnerable in Cambodia - especially children and disadvantaged young women. We beli

eve that at the root of all suffering is ignorance, and that loving care and a good education can provide a way out of poverty. Reflecting this philosophy, at the core of all LHA's programs is a commitment to compassionate care and continuing education. Through six projects, we send many hundred children and young adults to school from primary to high school levels and beyond. We bring HOPE to the lives of hundreds of young women, and families. We hope you will develop a better sense of these programs in our website. You will see how LHA is changing the lives of some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged populations in Cambodia. We have a further hope that by developing this understanding, we will engage your interest and perhaps your commitment to offer help and support.

After harvesting the previous crops, we have begun planting new vegetables and plants to support the dining room at PAGE.

PAGE is more than just a dormitory; it is a home where students experience daily life activities and practical learning. In addition to studying general knowledge and essential skills, students also learn valuable life skills through home gardening activities such as planting, watering, fertilizing, caring for crops, and monitoring plant growth. These experiences help equip them with responsibility, discipline, and practical knowledge for a brighter future and successful careers.

At PAGE, we believe that growing food using compost and chemical-free methods is the best approach to promoting healthy nutrition and strengthening both physical and mental well-being.

Annual LHA Gathering

This year marks an important milestone as we proudly introduce The Heart of LHA Alumni–HLA, a platform dedicated to reconnecting former LHA students across diverse fields and locations after graduation. It is a meaningful initiative that brings our community back together, strengthening bonds and fostering lifelong connections.

The Annual Gathering stands as our most significant event—an opportunity for alumni to meet face to face, reconnect, and share their life journeys. It is a space to exchange experiences, discover best practices, and reflect on valuable lessons learned, all while inspiring one another toward brighter futures.

We extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who participated. Thank you for your time, presence, and generosity. We truly value your contribution and wish you continued success and fulfillment in all your endeavors.

Happy Khmer New Year!

Calculative Forum

This morning, Ms. Kao Pek, LHA Representative, participated in the Consultative Forum on “Partnership Between Sub-national Government & NGOs”, held under the theme “Advancing Partnership Between Provincial Government & NGOs.” The conference was co-hosted by the Provincial Government and the NCN-SR Network in Siem Reap.

The event provided a valuable platform for fostering mutual understanding between government institutions and non-governmental organizations, with the aim of strengthening coordination and collaboration. Discussions focused on establishing clearer working relationships to ensure timely and effective responses to community needs and to address pressing social challenges.

As emphasized during the Forum, sustainable progress requires collective effort: “If you want to go fast, go alone; but if you want to go far, go together.” This guiding principle underscores the importance of partnership in achieving long-term, impactful development outcomes.
