Rainbow Youth was founded in October 23th 2013 by seven challenging youth who are from verity NGOs and private companies. Beside the seven founders of Rainbow Youth, there are other volunteers who understood Cambodia’s struggle and social issues because they all had experienced them first hand in their own lives, volunteering job and their work field. Its primary goals are to improve access to edu
cate and to support the local community. In turn we hope to empower and see formerly poverty stricken Cambodians prosper. As a development and charity club we understand the importance of sustainability and self-sufficiency, which is reflected, within all of our projects and programs. Our vision is a Cambodia where every community has the freedom, good governance, happiness, enough education and power to create their own future. Our mission is to build stronger communities in Cambodia through innovative education, advocacy, found volunteering local young generation clubs and development projects; one community at a time. Rainbow Youth team works in response to a lack of responsible residential care within the province. With the little savings they had to combine, in just one year, the team of all volunteers has already transformed into an in country staff of competitively paid workers. All the volunteers are now attending regular workshops, professional development programs and courses to further their skills in social work, accounting, music, news reporting, art, management, communications, marketing and designing. Some of our some have even since commenced university degrees to further their skills. The Rainbow Youth team is proud of their achievements and is committed to moving their own people forward. The Rainbow Youth organization really is a true testament of the Khmer people’s strong will and resilient attitude. Youth Council of Cambodia is our main partnership. In our project, we always work and cooperate with local authorities, local media and other local or international organizations to make our project worked to reach a successful and effectively ending.
