Our aim is to help alleviate the poverty and struggles that the children living in Siem Reap and the surrounding areas face, by providing a safe place to learn and grow. Chres Village School and Orphanage was established in 2006 by Phat Fi Phon, with the help of S.O.C.P.L.S.D.O. (The Sustainable Organization for Community Peasant Labourer Student Development and Orphans) which was established by
Mr Pang Sena. The School and Orphanage is located 12km outside of Siem Reap in Chres Village Kandek Commune in the Bakong District Siem Reap Province, Kingdom of Cambodia (Left: Entrance). The School and Orphanage works with several villages in and around the Bakong district Siem Reap province, with an aim to alleviate poverty and the difficulties of poor farming families by supporting them with basic needs such as food, clothing, education, school supplies, health service and accommodation. Currently there are 49 orphans living at the orphanage and school (Right: dorm where all of the orphans and Mr Pong Sena & family sleep), along with over 400 local students that are attending the classes provided by the school. Many of the Siem Reap orphanages are located in or near to the town, this makes them more accessible to funding and volunteers but since our orphanage is in Chres village which is located outside the city, it desperately needs all the support that it can receive. There are several ways that you can provide support to the orphans and children of our school and orphanage, you can make a Donation, or Sponsor an Orphan, or if you are going to be visiting Cambodia we are looking for Volunteers. We currently have several much needed building projects we are looking to fund, each of these would provide a significant enhancement to the lives of the orphans and children
