គោលបំណងនៃវគ្គបណ្ដុះបណ្ដាលនេះ ដេីម្បីពង្រឹងសមត្ថភាពបន្ថែមដល់ភ្នាក់ងារសង្គមកិច្ច គណៈកម្មាធិការទទួលបន្ទុកកិច្ចការនារី និងកុមារឃុំ/សង្កាត់ នគរបាលយុត្តិធម៌ ព្រះរាជអាជ្ញា និងចៅក្រម លេីការងារយុត្តិធម៌អនីតិជន និងផ្សព្វផ្សាយអំពីការដោះលែងដោយមានលក្ខខណ្ឌ។

លទ្ធផលរំពឹងទុករបស់វគ្គបណ្តុះបណ្តាលគឺរំលឹកឡើងវិញអំពីច្បាប់យុត្តិធម៌អនីតិជន និង ជំរុញឱ្យមានកម្មភាពបង្វែរអនីតិជនទំនាស់នឹងច្បាប់ និងដោះលែងដោយមានលក្ខខណ្ឌកាន់តែផុសផុលក្នុងខេត្តកណ្តាល។

On 5 February 2026, This Life, in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation (MoSVY), organised a capacity-building training workshop on the Law on Juvenile Justice, Diversion Measures for Children in Conflict with the Law, and Conditional Release for local authorities from municipalities and districts in Kandal Province. The workshop was presided over by H.E. Sorn Sophal, Director-General of the General Department of Rehabilitation at the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation, and H.E. Kruy Malen, Deputy Governor of Kandal Province.

A total of 62 participants (25 women, with no participants with disabilities) attended the training. Participants included representatives from the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation; Deputy Governors of the province; prosecutors; judges; deputy police commissioners; police inspectors and deputy inspectors; deputy prison directors; social workers from the Provincial Department of Social Affairs; district social affairs officers; commune/sangkat administrative police officers; and representatives from This Life.

The objective of the training was to further strengthen the capacity of social workers, Commune/Sangkat Committees for Women and Children, judicial police officers, prosecutors and judges in implementing juvenile justice practices, as well as to promote awareness of conditional release.

The expected outcomes of the training were to reinforce understanding of the Law on Juvenile Justice and to promote the increased use of diversion measures and conditional release for children in conflict with the law in Kandal Province.

Thank you to Phnom Penh Post for covering This Life’s distribution of more than 2,000 Boxes of Hope to children across three provinces in Cambodia, including children living in displacement camps.

On 28 January 2026, with permission from H.E. the President of the Kandal Provincial Court of First Instance, This Life, in partnership with MoSVY, held a coordination meeting with judges, court clerks, and social agents in Kandal Province. A total of 14 participants attended (2 female, none identified with disabilities): 3 judges, 2 court clerks, 1 MoSVY representative, 3 DoSVY Social Agents, and 4 This Life representatives.

The meeting presented the Juvenile Diversion Program for Children in Conflict with the Law and focused on strengthening collaboration between the court and social services to improve child justice outcomes. The program is implemented in accordance with national laws and procedures, including the Juvenile Justice Law, as well as relevant guidelines on diversion, conditional release, and child protection. It also aligns with international standards, including the CRC General Comment on Children in Conflict with the Law and UPR recommendations, ensuring that both national and international norms guide practice.

The Court expressed strong appreciation for the program and welcomed the direct engagement of Social Agents in juvenile cases — attending hearings and trials, and submitting diversion requests. For the first time, Social Agents have a formal role in supporting children within the court process, ensuring timely, child-centered interventions.

This strengthened collaboration reinforces children’s rights and protection and represents a key step toward a more responsive, legally compliant, and child-friendly justice system in Cambodia.

នៅថ្ងៃសុក្រ ទី២៣ ខែមករា ឆ្នាំ២០២៦ នេះ អង្គការ ជីវិតនៅកម្ពុជា និង វិទ្យាស្ថានជាតិពហុបច្ចេកទេសអង្គរ - NPIA បានចុះហត្ថលេខាលើអនុស្សរណៈនៃការយោគយល់គ្នា (MoU) ដើម្បីអនុវត្តគម្រោង បណ្តុះបណ្តាលវិជ្ជាជីវៈ និងសហគ្រាសសង្គម នៅខេត្តសៀមរាប សម្រាប់រយៈពេល ៣ ឆ្នាំ (២០២៦–២០២៨)។

On Friday, 23 January 2026, This Life signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Polytechnic Institute of Angkor to implement a Vocational Training and Social Enterprise project in Siem Reap Province for a three-year period (2026–2028).

This partnership aims to create opportunities for at-risk youth, vulnerable young people, and juveniles who are currently detained or in conflict with the law through vocational skills training, life skills education, learning materials support, and access to employment or self-employment opportunities. These efforts seek to strengthen skills and knowledge and support young people in building a more positive and sustainable future.
