This is a fundraiser for my friend, Long Boreth (https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-boreth-save-his-home-and-buisness) and has been set up by a fellow traveller based in the UK. I met Boreth when he was my travel guide through Cambodia at the beginning of 2020, just before this whole COVID s**t show took flight. We have stayed in touch ever since, and life has been incredibly tough for him lately.

Boreth is a truly remarkable bloke, who works his butt of to support his 3 children and ensure they can stay at school and university. His home and AirBnB business (which he is about to lose to the bank) not only provides shelter and work for his family, but is also a vital space for others in the community to come and see Boreth, where he is always the first to help with a drink and meal and setting up opportunities for people to upskill so that they can support their own families in turn.

If you’ve made it this far and could donate a couple of dollars today (perhaps skip a coffee?!) it would really make a difference to Boreth and his family. Plus you’ll get a side of warm fuzzies and will have a fabulous AirBnB to visit in Cambodia in the future.
