Children are at the heart of CHO’s vision for Cambodia. We strive to educate, empower and equip children to be effective leaders of the future. We have a focus on child protection, food, security, health, skills, livelihoods, water and sanitation as well as the spiritual lives of targeted children, youth and adults. At the centre of CHO’s ever-expanding network of projects is a ten-year vision for
Safe Haven school- a space housing educational, pastoral and administrative facilities. Currently, they have over 200 students enrolled with 8 grades and a nursery. This provides quality education to vulnerable children in Poipet allowing them to discover their potential and graduate with the resources they need for the next stage in their lives. Vocational training is also available. Individuals are taught agricultural skills, sewing, handcrafts and computer technology enhancing their future prospects. CHO’s other projects include UMOJA, a way of helping local churches to work together with their community in addressing needs using their own resources, and an educational outreach programme- School on a Mat.
