💧ទទួលបានចំណេះដឹងអំពី ឧបសគ្គ, ហានិភ័យដែលជនមានពិការភាពប្រឈមមុខក្នុងអំឡុងពេលមានគ្រោះមហន្តរាយ និងរបៀបជួយសម្របសម្រួល និងគាំទ្រ។
💧ការចូលរួម និងការផ្តល់ភាពអង់អាចដល់ជនមានពិការភាព និងអង្គការតំណាងជនមានពិការភាព ក្នុងដំណាក់កាលទាំងបួននៃការកាត់បន្ថយហានិភ័យនៃគ្រោះមហន្តរាយ (រៀបចំឆ្លើយតបស្តាឡើងវិញ)។
💧របៀបសហការជាមួយដៃគូក្នុងតួនាទីផ្ទាល់ខ្លួន ដើម្បីពង្រឹងការធ្វើបរិយាបន្នពិការភាពក្នុងការកាត់បន្ថយហានិភ័យនៃគ្រោះមហន្តរាយ។

អង្គការវ័តធឺអេត (WaterAid) សាកលវិទ្យាល័យ Monash សមាគមជនមានពិការភាពហាណូយ (DP Hanoi); អង្គការជនពិការកម្ពុជា (CDPO) និងសមាគមជនមានពិការភាពឡាវ (LDPA) កំពុងសហការជាមួយភាពជាដៃគូលើវិស័យទឹកអូស្ត្រាលី (AWP) ដើម្បីអនុវត្តគម្រោង៖ « ការរៀបចំ និងការអនុវត្តកម្មវិធីសិក្សាបណ្តុះបណ្តាលស្តីពីបរិយាបន្នពិការភាពនៅក្នុងតំបន់មេគង្គ »។

កម្មវិធីនេះមានគោលបំណងបង្កើនការគ្រប់គ្រងហានិភ័យអាកាសធាតុ និងគ្រោះមហន្តរាយដែលប្រកបដោយបរិយាន្នពិការភាព នៅក្នុងវិស័យទឹកនៅក្នុងប្រទេសកម្ពុជា ឡាវ និងវៀតណាម។ គោលដៅនេះនឹងត្រូវបានសម្រេចដោយការពង្រឹងសមត្ថភាពរបស់អង្គការតំណាងជនមានពិការភាព (OPDs) និងការបង្កើត និងដាក់ឱ្យប្រើប្រាស់កម្មវិធីសិក្សាបរិយាបន្នពិការភាព ក្នុងចំណោមអ្នកពាក់ព័ន្ធ និងថ្នាក់ដឹកនាំផ្នែកអាកាសធាតុ និងទឹក នៅក្នុងប្រទេសកម្ពុជា និងវៀតណាម។

On 27 and 28 August 2026, National School of Local Administration with the support of The Australian Water Partnership hosted a training on “Disability Inclusive Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change” at TRIBE Phnom Penh Post Office Square with the aim of:
💧Barriers, risks and enablers to people with disability during disaster events and how to assess them.
💧Engagement and empowerment of people with disabilities and their representative organisations in four stages.
💧How to practically collaborate with others in your own role to strengthen disability inclusion in DRR.

WaterAid, Monash University, Hanoi Association of People with Disabilities (DP Hanoi), Cambodian Disabled People's Organisation (CDPO) , and The Lao Disabled People's Association(LDPA) are collaborating with the Australian Water Partnership (AWP) to implement the project, “Curriculum: Disability inclusive DRR, climate and water governance”.

The program aims to enhance disability inclusive disaster risk management and climate change in the water sector in Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam. This goal will be achieved by strengthening the capacity of organizations of persons with disabilities (OPDs) and developing and implementing disability-inclusive curriculum for climate and water stakeholders and leaders in Cambodia and Vietnam.

💧 Learning Event: Locally-led Systems Strengthening in driving universal access to WASH services

📍 Ksach Kandal District Hall, Kandal Province, Cambodia

The learning event brought together key stakeholders to learn from local experiences and capture evidence on how WASH systems strengthening is being recognized, integrated, and supported at the subnational level.
The event brought together representatives from key government institutions, local authorities, development partners, and civil society organizations, with funding support from Agenda for Change (A4C) and the Australian NGO Cooperation Program ( ).

The learning event focused on three key areas:
💧 Capturing evidence that WASH systems strengthening principles are explicitly recognized and supported by key stakeholders, particularly through subnational strategies, platforms, and coordination processes.
💧 Generating evidence of how WASH systems strengthening language and approaches are being integrated into policy frameworks, capacity development manuals, procedures, and other relevant institutional mechanisms.
💧 Gathering evidence of increased budget commitments from district authorities to integrate WASH systems strengthening and improve WASH service delivery.

On 13th March 2025, Tevy, a young representative from WaterAid Cambodia, was selected to join changemakers, young leaders, decision-makers, and high-profile guests at a Water and Climate Reception at Buckingham Palace hosted by HM King Charles in support of WaterAid. Guests at the reception were able to undertake a unique immersive experience that highlighted global water and climate issues.

Tevy shared her quote here: A Committing to tackling the climate crisis is essential for our existence. With the world at tipping point, the time is now for action on water and climate. Our young leaders roundtable today highlighted that urgent, collective action is needed and it is an honour to be at Buckingham Palace to discuss our ideas and insights with His Majesty this evening. On 7 July 2026, WaterAid Cambodia organised a GEDSI (Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion) & Safeguarding Training for government stakeholders and partners with a total of 27 participants (13 females).

The training aim:
💧To strengthen participants' understanding of WaterAid's safeguarding commitments, policies, and principles while enhancing their capacity to identify, prevent, and respond to safeguarding risks.
💧To learn about safeguarding reporting mechanisms, their roles and responsibilities in creating safe environments, and the importance of integrating GEDSI data into the tracking and monitoring of piped water connections to ensure that no one is left behind.

Training of Trainers: Disability Inclusive Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change

On 23-24 July 2026, NASLA, CDPO and WaterAid Cambodia collaboratively organized a Training of Trainers on Disability Inclusive Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change, with future trainers from their respective institutions as well as representatives from relevant ministries, including MoE, NCDM, DAC, MRD, MISTI and MoWA.

The purposes of the training are:
💧To facilitate the training and necessary coaching for core trainers at the national level in preparation for the upcoming pilot trainings, and
💧To define roles and actions to support the rollout of the pilot trainings.

Congratulations to Svay Chuk Health Center on being ranked #8 among Model Public Service Providers in the Health Sector for 2025!

With support from the Australian Government through the Australian Non-Governmental Cooperation Program ( ), WaterAid Cambodia has collaborated with the Kampong Chhnang Provincial Department of Health, the Kampong Tralach District Health Office, and Svay Chuk Health Center to implement a project aimed at improving climate-resilient and sustainable water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services in health care facilities from 2018 to 2026.

Key interventions include:
💧 Providing training for health workers and technical support to strengthen climate-resilient WASH services and infrastructure.
🧼 Integrating infection prevention and control (IPC) practices into the health system.
🤝 Promoting health workers as leaders in WASH and increasing the participation of women and vulnerable groups in IPC committees.
📊 Strengthening the capacity of health workers to plan, manage, and sustain climate-resilient WASH services.
📈 Enhancing feedback mechanisms, coordination, and information management systems to support WASH planning and financing in health care facilities.

Building on these achievements, WaterAid Cambodia hopes that Svay Chuk Health Center will continue to uphold this strong culture of excellence and serve as a leading model for delivering safe, quality, and equitable health services by sustaining and further improving its WASH services.

At the same time, WaterAid Cambodia hopes that these achievements and successful experiences will serve as a source of inspiration and valuable lessons for promoting and scaling up good practices to other health centers in our target areas, ultimately contributing to improved health and well-being for all, while ensuring that no one is left behind.

ផលជះជាវិជ្ជមាននឹងកើតមានឡើង នៅពេលដែលអង្គការមិនមែនរដ្ឋាភិបាលសហការជាមួយក្រុមហ៊ុនសាជីវកម្មនានា ដើម្បីធ្វើឲ្យមនុស្សកាន់តែច្រើនមានលទ្ធភាពទទួលបានទឹកស្អាតប្រើប្រាស់។ ការងារថ្មីៗនេះរបស់អង្គការវ័តធឺអេតកម្ពុជា ដោយមានការគាំទ្រពីមូលនិធិរបស់ក្រុមហ៊ុនសាជីវកម្ម VF បានបង្ហាញអោយឃើញនូវការធ្វើឲ្យប្រសើរឡើងនូវសុខភាព ផលិតភាព និងការងារជាប្រព័ន្ធដែលបានដាក់បញ្ចូលការងារទឹកស្អាត និងអនាម័យ ទៅក្នុងប្រតិបត្តិការរោងចក្រ និងសហគមន៍ដែលនៅជុំវិញនោះ។

នៅក្នុងដំណាក់កាលទីពីរនៃគម្រោងរបស់យើងបានទទួលលទ្ធផលលើសផែនការដែលបានគ្រោងរហូតដល់ចំនួន 74% ដែលមានមនុស្សចំនួន 183,548 នាក់ ទទួលបានសេវាទឹកស្អាត និងអនាម័យ ដែលប្រសើរជាងមុននៅក្នុងវិស័យកាត់ដេរ និងសហគមន៍ដែលនៅជុំវិញក្នុងប្រទេសកម្ពុជា។

សមិទ្ធផលសំខាន់ៗ រួមមាន៖
✅ ការតភ្ជាប់ទឹកតាមបំពង់ថ្មីចំនួន 105,969 ដែលទទួលបានជិត5ដងនៃផែនការដើម
✅ ការទទួលបានទឹកស្អាត និងអនាម័យកាន់តែប្រសើរឡើងជាងមុនសម្រាប់មនុស្សជាង 183,000 នាក់
✅ របាយការណ៍នៃសុខុមាលភាពរបស់កម្មករ កម្មការីរោងចក្រប្រសើរឡើងជាង 80%
✅ ការថយចុះ 64% នៃការចំណាយលើការថែទាំសុខភាពប្រចាំឆ្នាំលើទឹកស្អាត និងអនាម័យ
✅ តម្លៃសង្គមចំនួន 912,171 ដុល្លារដែលបានបង្កើតពីការវិនិយោគប្រហែល 181,000 ដុល្លារ (ផលចំណេញ 5 ក្រោមការវិនិយោគ 1)

Incredible impact is made possible when NGOs partner with corporations to reach more people with access to clean water. WaterAid Cambodia’s recent work with support from VF Corporation’s The VF Foundation demonstrates measurable improvements in health, productivity, and system performance by embedding water, sanitation, and hygiene into factory operations and surrounding communities.

🚰 Big results, lasting impact.

In phase two of the project, we exceeded our target by 74%, reaching 183,548 people with improved water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services across Cambodia's garment sector and surrounding communities.

Key achievements:
✅ 105,969 new piped water connections—nearly 5x the original target
✅ Improved WASH access for more than 183,000 people
✅ 80%+ improvement in worker wellbeing reported
✅ 64% reduction in annual WASH-related healthcare costs
✅ $912,171 in social value generated from ~$181,000 invested (5:1 return)

Beyond infrastructure, the program embedded water, sanitation and hygiene standards into factory policies and national labor frameworks, helping ensure sustainable impact for years to come.
