In the past year, our Protection team in Cambodia has worked closely with women survivors of s*x trafficking, labor trafficking, and trafficking for forced marriage, partnering with them on their restoration journeys through therapy, counseling, basic needs assistance, and health check-ups. These women, once enduring horrific abuse and injustice, now report renewed hope, improved health, optimism, and stronger community ties.

But now, due to the USAID stop-work order, these vital services are at risk. We are being forced to scale back our efforts, and the sudden halt has caused immediate disruption to ongoing support.

🌏 Chab Dai Coalition Joins ASEAN Regional Workshops to Combat Human Trafficking and Exploitation
From January 21-23, 2025, Chab Dai Coalition was honored to participate in two significant regional workshops hosted by ASEAN-ACT, which brought together multi-sectoral stakeholders, including government agencies, policymakers, development partners, and CSOs from all ASEAN member states.
🎯 Workshop Highlights:
💡 January 21, 2025: Regional Validation Workshop on "Understanding and Addressing the Intersection of Disability and Trafficking in Persons in ASEAN".
• Discussed key findings and challenges at the intersection of disability and trafficking.
• Shared feedback and insights to refine policy briefs that will inform regional strategies.
💡 January 22-23, 2025: "Empowerment, Inclusion, and Non-Discrimination: Addressing Trafficking in Persons Among Vulnerable Groups".
• Highlighted the importance of addressing vulnerabilities through an intersectional approach.
• Fostered dialogue and cooperation between human trafficking actors and specialists to amplify efforts in combating TIP in Southeast Asia.
