* Beyond the Mission: Experiencing the iconic Spirit of Cambodia π°π*
Following the successful completion of the eye screening in Kampong Thom, our Singaporean delegates and local volunteers had the privilege of visiting the iconic Angkor Wat in Siem Reap Province before returning home.
This meaningful and memorable cultural visit, graciously suggested by Her Excellency Chea Serey, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia, and thoughtfully led by Mr. Sideth Ly, allowed the team to experience one of Cambodiaβs most treasured cultural and historical landmarks.
Standing before this timeless symbol of Cambodiaβs rich history and enduring spirit, we were reminded that our mission extends beyond restoring sightβit is also about building friendships, strengthening partnerships, and celebrating the shared values that unite us across borders.
As we conclude this mission and begin our journey home, we carry with us not only the fulfillment of serving communities through eye care, but also profound gratitude for the kindness, generosity, and warm hospitality extended to the team.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Her Excellency Chea Serey and Mr. Sideth Ly for making this memorable experience possible. It served as a fitting conclusion to a successful mission, celebrating both the spirit of humanity and the rich cultural heritage of Cambodia. π°π
