🌿 The IUCN World Conservation Congress officially opened today in Abu Dhabi — bringing together a vibrant global community of leaders, governments, Indigenous peoples, scientists, youth, and partners to shape the future of conservation.

🌍 The Opening Ceremony set the tone with a shared call for action toward resilient ecosystems, inclusive economies, and a nature-positive future.

🌀 Thematic plenaries throughout the day explored urgent global challenges — from climate overshoot and equity in conservation, to bold leadership and innovation for nature and people.

🏛️ The Exhibition came alive with over 130 exhibitors showcasing cutting-edge solutions, collaborative initiatives, and creative approaches to conservation. Pavilions such as the Indigenous Peoples Pavilion, the Reimagining Conservation Pavilion, and the IUCN Programme Pavilion highlighted the power of collective action and innovation.

✨ With the first sitting of the Members’ Assembly concluding the day, the Congress begins with renewed momentum — bridging voices, ideas, and leadership for a just and thriving planet.
