ថ្ងៃនេះ គឺជាសក្ខីភាពនៃការវិវត្តន៍ថ្មីមួយគួរឱ្យកត់សំគាល់នៅរដ្ឋសភានៃព្រះរាជាណាចក្រកម្ពុជា ខណៈដែលយើងចាប់ផ្តើមជាផ្លូវការនូវកម្មវិធី "សភាត្រាប់សម្រាប់យុវជន" គំនិតផ្តួចផ្តើមដ៏សំខាន់នេះដោយរដ្ឋសភា (គណៈកម្មការទី៨) និងក្រុមសភាជាតិកម្ពុជានៃអ្នកនយោបាយសភាស្ត្រី មានការសហការពីភា្នក់ងារសហប្រជាជាតិ UN Women និងមូលនិធិសហប្រជាជាតិសម្រាប់ប្រជាជន UNFPA ក្រោមការគាំទ្រពីក្រសួងសមភាពយេនឌ័រ និងគ្រួសារនៃសាធារណៈរដ្ឋកូរ៉េ ។

ក្នុងរយៈពេលពីរថ្ងៃ (ថ្ងៃទី ២១-២២ ខែមេសា) ថ្នាក់ដឹកនាំវ័យក្មេងប្រកបដោយសក្តានុពលក្លៀវក្លាចំនួន ៨០ រូប មកពីទូទាំងប្រទេស នឹងដើរតួនាទីជាសមាជិកសភា ដើម្បីពង្រឹងភាពជាអ្នកដឹកនាំ ការចូលរួមកិច្ចការសង្គមនយោបាយ និងចូលរួមចំណែកកំណត់អនាគតនៃសមភាពយេនឌ័រ។ ទោះបីជាកម្ពុជាសម្រេចបាននូវការវិវឌ្ឍយ៉ាងខ្លាំងក្លាក៏ដោយ ប៉ុន្តែតំណាងស្ត្រីនៅក្នុងរដ្ឋសភានាពេលបច្ចុប្បន្នមានត្រឹមតែ ១៣,៦%ប៉ុណ្ណោះ។ ដើម្បីឈានទៅសម្រេចបាននូវសមភាពយេនឌ័រពេញលេញ យើងត្រូវតែវិនិយោគលើសមត្ថភាព ទំនុកចិត្ត និងបណ្តាញទំនាក់ទំនងរបស់ស្ត្រីវ័យក្មេងចាប់ពីថ្ងៃនេះតទៅ។

Today marks a historic milestone at the National Assembly of Cambodia as we officially kick off the Mock Parliament with Youth! This initiative is a proud partnership between the National Assembly (the Commission 8th) and the Women Parliamentarian Caucus, UN Women, and UNFPA, with the generous support from the Government of the Republic of Korea through the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family.

Over two days (April 21-22), 80 vibrant young leaders from across the country are stepping into the shoes of parliamentarians to strengthen leadership, civic participation and shape the future of gender equality. While Cambodia has made great strides, women’s representation in the National Assembly currently stands at 13.6%. To reach gender parity, we must invest in the capacity, confidence, and networks of our young women today.

Behind the numbers are families rebuilding their lives.
A new UN assessment reveals the scale of impact from the Cambodia–Thailand border situation:
