🌍 **World Patient Safety Day 2026 | “Safe Care for Life!”**

On 17 September 2026, Cambodia commemorated World Patient Safety Day under the theme “Safe Care for Noncommunicable Diseases” and the slogan “Safe Care for Life!” The event, held at Himawari Hotel Apartments, highlighted the importance of patient safety, quality healthcare, and stronger approaches to preventing and managing noncommunicable diseases (NCDs). It also emphasized building a culture of safety throughout Cambodia’s health system, supported by WHO, JICA, JCI, and partners. We are proud that St John Cambodia member, Ms. Khim Malis, attended this meaningful event, representing our commitment to promoting health, safety, and compassionate care. ❤️

On 4 September 2026, the Empowerment Youth Leadership Conference (EYLC) 2026, organised by Mr. Lawrence Lee of Add Courage, together with Brands for Good and School of Innovative Leadership, was held at Himawari Hotel Apartments. 🌏✨ St John Cambodia members and cadets proudly participated, embracing opportunities to connect, learn, and grow. Through inspiring sessions, meaningful discussions, and new friendships, they strengthened their leadership, teamwork, and commitment to service, while celebrating the spirit of compassion and positive community impact. ❤️

Pleased to catch up with Ms. Trish while transiting through Changi Airport. A dedicated volunteer and St John member from Australia, Trish has spent a couple of months each year volunteering with St John Phnom Penh through her outreach programme in Cambodia. It was wonderful to reconnect, reminisce about her meaningful contributions, and celebrate the lasting friendship she has built with our St John family. We wish Trish and her partner a safe, joyful, and blessed journey to the UK. We look forward to welcoming her back to Cambodia next year!

On 10 September, Mr. Andrew Tay, Vice-Chairperson of St John Cambodia, visited Medical Fair Asia 2026 at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.

During the visit, Mr. Tay had the opportunity to meet with several healthcare suppliers and explore the latest developments and opportunities within the healthcare industry.

Medical Fair Asia serves as a key platform connecting the global healthcare community with opportunities across Asia, fostering collaboration, innovation, and partnerships for the future of healthcare.

On 29 August 2026, St John Cambodia Chairwoman Ms. Alicia Lim, together with Vice-Chairman Mr. Andrew Tay, was honoured to attend the St John Brigade Singapore's District Presentation (North District) at CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls’ School, Singapore.

The event celebrated the dedication, commitment, and achievements of cadets, officers, and members at both individual and school levels. It was a proud occasion as new appointment holders were recognised and promotions were presented to officers and members in appreciation of their leadership, service, and continued commitment to St John.

The presentation was presided over by Dr. Tan You Jiang, Chief Medical Officer of the St John Brigade Singapore.

St John Cambodia extends its heartfelt congratulations to all award recipients, newly appointed leaders, promoted members, cadets, and participating schools for their outstanding achievements and contributions.
