May 06, 2026, LIVE & LEARN CAMBODIA, Geres - Acting for climate solidarity, and Institute of Technology of Cambodia - សាលាតិចណូ, in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, successfully conducted the Cooling Home - Innovative and Low Impact Living (CHILL) Project Kick Off Workshop, under the financial support of the ClimateWorks Foundation.

We were honored by the participation of a special MoE delegation led by Mr. Ouk Navann, Deputy Director General of Policy and Strategy of the Ministry of Environment, whose presence reinforced strong institutional support and alignment with national climate priorities, particularly Cambodia 3.0's implementation.

This milestone marks an important step toward advancing sustainable passive cooling solutions and low impact living in Phnom Penh through multi stakeholder collaboration.

The workshop convened 32 participants from 18 national and international NGOs and government institutions, with 10 women participants, to align on the project vision, implementation roadmap, and key baseline findings on energy efficiency and thermal comfort in urban housing.

Building Resilience - Integrated Action on Climate Change and Sustainable Food Systems

LIVE & LEARN CAMBODIA (LLC) successfully concluded a two-day practical training workshop in Banlung, Ratanak Kiri, in April 2026, focused on "Integrated Action on Climate Change and Sustainable Food Systems". The training equipped 17 enthusiastic NGO and CSO professionals and leaders, with majority of women, youth and indigenuous people, with vital knowledge to address inclusive climate-food nexus. Through deep dives into basic science of climate change, climate-smart agriculture, systems thinking, and GEDSI, participants developed actionable roadmaps for their local projects, organizations and communities. This milestone marks a critical transition from "business-as-usual" to sustainable, climate-resilient development.

This action couldn’t be achievable without support of Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ) and Johanniter International Assistance through GROWTH-2 project.

SUPPORT US TO BRING MORE KNOWLEDGE TO THE GROUND.

Our tailored training programs for NGO/CSOs are:
1. Climate Change and Food Systems,
2. Climate Smart Agriculture Extension,
3. Climate Change and Community-based Disaster Risk Management, and
4. TOT on Environment and Climate Change for Children Rights Organization.

Fresh and organic – Not only demonstrating livelong learning on climate smart agriculture, but also immensely contributing to child nutrition in remote and rural communities.

With our support, the students at Sambour Primary School, Siem Reap province, have been busy harvesting fresh and organic vegetables from their own school garden. These greens aren't just for show, they go straight into the school’s feeding program ensuring ensure every child gets a nutritious meal.

Through this "School Gardening" initiative, students aren't just growing food; they are growing their knowledge and skill of sustainable and climate smart agriculture practices.

Together, we are nourishing the next generation!

We extend our deepest gratitude to the Irish Embassy in Vietnam and Oxfam in Cambodia for their generous support and partnership on the Climate Resilience for All (CREFA) Project.
