CCCN | The Cambodia Climate Change Network

CCCN | The Cambodia Climate Change Network Within this, CCCN believes that grassroots groups are most important. A real and strong civil society voice requires a real and strong civil society.

CCCN is made up of local and international NGOs, associations, and private sector organizations operating in Cambodia and individuals working on climate change and climate change related issues. Our vision:

Cambodia will have a well-informed and empowered population with a collective voice to address climate change issues so that environmental sustainability is increased and marginalised people

have stronger control over their lives and livelihoods

Roles:

The role CCCN will take on – the development of an informed voice from Cambodia’s civil society - from community groups to people’s organizations, to service NGOs, to academia. Overall goal:

Communities, networks of communities, peoples groups and NGOs (particularly those in rural areas or of marginalized groups) will have developed and articulated opinions with regard to climate change in Cambodia. These groups will have used their combined voice to influence Cambodian policies and those of donors such that livelihoods and rights are better protected.
