នៅថ្ងៃទី២៦ ខែសីហា ឆ្នាំ២០២៦ សមាជិកនៃគណៈកម្មាធិការសមាគមមនុស្សចាស់ ក្នុងតំបន់គោលដៅនៃសង្កាត់ត្រើយកោះ និងស្រុកអង្គរជ័យ ក្នុងខេត្តកំពត បានពិភាក្សាយ៉ាងសកម្មអំពីការធ្វើផែនការយុទ្ធសាស្ត្រកៀរគរការគាំទ្រ ដោយមានចូលរួមផ្តល់ជាគំនិតយោបល់ពីសមាជិកគណៈកម្មាធិការតម្រង់ទិស។ ការពិភាក្សានេះ គឺជាឱកាសមួយដើម្បីឲ្យអ្នករស់រានមានជីវិត មានសមត្ថភាពអាចឈានទៅដឹកនាំសមាគមមនុស្សចាស់របស់ខ្លួនប្រកបដោយនិរន្តរភាព។

Sustainability: OPA leaders develop a strategic planning for mobilizing support.

On 26 August 2026, Old People Association (OPA) Committee Members in the target areas of Sangkat Trauy Koah and Angkor Chey district (Kampot province) actively discussed the strategic planning for mobilizing support, with input provided by Steering Committee Members. This discussion offered an opportunity for survivors to gain the capacity to lead their OPA sustainably.

At the same time, the participants and project team from "Interim Reparative Measures" (IRM) travelled to Wat Samrong Knong (Battambang province) to understand and take any part from the creation of Khmer Rouge memorial site presented by Youth For Peace-CAMBODIA staff. This journey is important for the implementation of collective IRM in their community in the future.

IRM project is co-implemented by Kdei Karuna Organization and TPO Cambodia, with financial support from the Global Survivors Fund.

នៅថ្ងៃទី២៥ ខែសីហា ឆ្នាំ២០២៦ សមាជិកគណៈកម្មាធិការនៃសមាគមមនុស្សចាស់ និងគណៈកម្មាធិការតម្រង់ទិស មកពីសង្កាត់ត្រើយកោះ និងស្រុកអង្គរជ័យ ក្នុងខេត្តកំពត បានធ្វើដំណើរទៅកាន់ខេត្តបាត់ដំបង ដើម្បីសិក្សាស្វែកយល់ពីសកម្មភាពដែលសម្រេចបាននៅហាងល្អីបៃតង ដែលជាគំនិតផ្តួចផ្តើម “ភូមិមួយ ផលិតផលមួយ” ដំណើរការដោយសមាគមមនុស្សចាស់ចំការឬស្សី។

សម្រាប់អ្នករស់រានមានជីវិតពីរបបខ្មែរក្រហមមានវ័យចាស់ ដែលកំពុងធ្វើការកសាងជីវភាពប្រកបដោយនិរន្តរភាព តាមរយៈគម្រោង “វិធានការសំណងក្រៅប្រព័ន្ធតុលាការ” ដំណើរទស្សនៈកិច្ចនេះ គឺជាឱកាសមួយដើម្បីសួរជាសំណួរជាក់ស្តែង - តើភូមិមួយរៀបចំផលិតផល ចែករំលែកប្រាក់ចំនេញ និងផ្សាភ្ជាប់ជាមួយអាជ្ញាធរមូលដ្ឋាន និងភាគីពាក់ព័ន្ធឲ្យចូលរួមរយៈពេលយ៉ាងដូចម្តេច? ការពិភាក្សាជាមួយអង្គការមនុស្សចាស់កម្ពុជា និងសមាគមមនុស្សចាស់ចំការឬស្សី បានឆ្លើយតបយ៉ាងច្បាស់ថា៖ របៀរកៀរគរការគាំទ្រ និងការផ្លាស់ប្តូរគំនិងល្អទៅជាអ្វីមួយដែលមានភាពស្ថិតស្ថេរយូរអង្វែង។

អ្នករស់រានមានជីវិតមកពីខេត្តកំពត បានវិលត្រឡប់ទៅផ្ទះវិញជាមួយនឹងគំនិតជាក់ស្តែង ដើម្បីសម្របទៅនឹងសហគមន៍របស់ខ្លួន - ដែលជាជំហានតូចមួយ ប៉ុន្តែជាការបោះជំហានពិតប្រាកដមួយឆ្ពោះទៅរករចនាសម្ព័ន្ធគាំទ្រដែលដឹកនាំដោយអ្នករស់រានមានជីវិត និងអាចទ្រទ្រង់ខ្លួនឯងបាន។

Learning from those who've done it: OPA leaders visit Battambang's "One Village, One Production" model

On 25 August 2026, Old People Association (OPA) Committee Members and Steering Committee Members from Sangkat Trauy Koah and Angkor Chey district (Kampot province) traveled to Battambang to see something in action, not just hear about it: the Laey shop, a "One Village, One Production" initiative run by the OPA of Chamkar Russey.

For elderly survivors working to rebuild sustainable livelihoods through the Interim Reparative Measures (IRM) project, the visit was a chance to ask practical questions — how does a village organize production, share profit, and keep local authorities and stakeholders engaged long-term? Discussions with HelpAge Cambodia and Chamkar Russey's OPA covered exactly that: how to mobilize support and turn a good idea into something that lasts.

The Kampot delegation returns home with concrete ideas to adapt for their own communities — a small but real step toward survivor-led, self-sustaining support structures.

ជីវិតខ្ញុំកាន់តែប្រសើរឡើង ចាប់តាំងពីបានចូលរួមជាមួយគម្រោង “វិធានការសំណងក្រៅប្រព័ន្ធតុលាការ”។ អស់រយៈជាច្រើនឆ្នាំ ខ្ញុំបានខិតខំធ្វើការដើម្បីផ្គង់ផ្គង់គ្រួសារខ្ញុំ តាមរយៈតូបលក់ចំណីអាហារតូចមួយ ប៉ុន្តែការងារប្រចាំថ្ងៃកាន់តែពិបាក នៅពេលខ្ញុំកាន់តែចាស់។ ដោយមានការគាំទ្រពីគម្រោង ខ្ញុំមានលទ្ធភាពកែលម្អតូបឈើខ្ញុំ ដោយជំនួសមកវិញនូវរោងតូបធ្វើពីដែកវិញ។ សព្វថ្ងៃនេះ ខ្ញុំអាចរក្សាទុករបស់របរលក់ដូរខ្ញុំដោយសុវត្ថិភាព និងលែងចាំបាច់យកទៅយកមកដូចរាល់ថ្ងៃទៀតហើយ។

"A Stronger Stall, a Lighter Life"

My life has become easier since joining the IRM Project. For many years, I worked hard to support my family through a small food stall, but the daily work became increasingly difficult as I grew older. With support from the project, I was able to improve my stall and build a stronger metal structure. I can now safely store my supplies and no longer have to carry them back and forth every day.

Equally important were the regular gatherings with other survivors. Through these meetings, I found companionship, understanding, and emotional support. They reminded me that I am not alone.

Today, my work is more manageable, and I feel happier, relieved, and more connected to others in my community.

Recently, the project team met with representatives of relevant stakeholders to review the draft agreement for implementing the collective Interim Reparative Measures (IRM) project for survivors of the Khmer Rouge regime, located in Mrom Commune, Angkor Chey District, and Trey Koh Sangkat, Kampot City, Kampot Province. The purpose is reconciliation, healing, and contributing to the prevention of future violence, particularly through education for younger generations.
As a result, all parties agreed on the draft and recorded each specific location, with representatives from both the providing and receiving sides, together with the project team.
Please note that this is part of the IRM initiative, currently being implemented by Kdei Karuna Organization in collaboration with TPO Cambodia, with support from the Global Survivors Fund.

"Finding My Voice"

For many years, I felt excluded and rarely participated in community activities. Through the IRM Project, I received psychological support, livelihood training, and opportunities to strengthen my communication and leadership skills.

Today, I serve as my village's Gender Representative and share my knowledge with others as a model farmer. The greatest change is that I now have the confidence to contribute, speak up, and help my community move forward.

"Learning to Live in the Present"

Before joining the IRM Project, I often found myself dwelling on painful memories from the past. Through counselling, self-help groups, and financial support, I was able to strengthen both my well-being and my small business. I expanded my range of products, attracted more customers, and increased my income.

But the greatest change was learning how to focus on the present and look towards the future with greater hope. Today, I feel happier, more confident, and optimistic about what lies ahead.
