Tkov Community Preschool Classroom Construction Update
We are pleased to share that the construction of the new classroom for Tkov Community Preschool, located in Kampong Trach District, Kampot Province, has been completed. The community preschool teacher has carried out a final inspection to ensure that the construction work has been completed properly and that the classroom is safe before it is put into use by the children. We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to Mr. Ton Savoeun for generously providing the floor tiles for the classroom. His contribution has helped make the classroom more suitable, clean, and comfortable for the children. The support provided by our generous donors and supporters is truly valuable. Thanks to their contributions, young children in this community will have the opportunity to attend preschool when the new 2026–2027 school year begins on November 1, 2026. Without this support and the new classroom, some of these children might otherwise have had limited or no opportunity to access preschool education in their own community. We sincerely thank everyone who has supported and contributed to the construction of this classroom and helped create an opportunity for young children to begin their education in a safe and appropriate learning environment.

ហៀ ស្រីមិញ បានចាប់ផ្តើមការសិក្សារបស់នាងនៅ មត្តេយ្យសិក្សាសហគមន៍ភូមិពោធិ៍ក្រោម ក្នុងឆ្នាំ២០២០។ ទោះបីជានាងមានការលំបាកក្នុងការសម្របខ្លួននៅពេលចូលរៀនដំបូងក៏ដោយ បន្តិចម្តងៗ ស្រីមិញបានចាប់ផ្តើមស្រឡាញ់ការសិក្សា និងខិតខំប្រឹងប្រែងរៀនសូត្រ។

From Community Preschool to Grade 7: Hea Sreyminh’s Learning Journey

Hea Sreyminh began her education at Pothi Krom Community Preschool in 2020. Although she found it difficult to adjust when she first started school, little by little she developed a love for learning and became more committed to her studies.

During the 2025-2026 academic year, Sreyminh was a Grade 6 student at Pothi Primary School in Kampong Leaeng District, Kampong Chhnang Province. She ranked first among 37 students in her class and regularly received certificates of recognition for her academic achievement.

Community Preschool and Classroom Building: CCAFO has supported Tkov Community Preschool in Kampong Trach District, Kampot Province, since 2011. Since then, 395 preschoolers have benefited from the preschool, gaining access to early childhood education within their community.

A safe and appropriate classroom is important for young children. It provides a place where they can learn, play, develop basic skills, and prepare for primary school. Therefore, a classroom, together with the necessary furniture, educational materials, and play materials, is essential. The classroom will help Tkov Community Preschool continue providing young children with a better environment to learn, play, and grow.

Home-Based Learning Through Storybooks: The Home-Based Learning Through Storybooks project provides children with storybooks to enjoy with their families and friends, helping them develop a love of reading, strengthen their literacy skills, and improve their language abilities.

From August 11, 2025, to July 8, 2026, the project benefited a total of 1,125 children in five villages within the English Language Project target area in Kampong Speu Province.

School Meals Program at Motherland Cambodia Education Center (MLC): Good nutrition is the foundation of children's learning.​​Through the School Meals Program, Motherland Cambodia Education Center (MLC) provides nutritious meals four times each month to an average of 108 students, including 72 girls, who are enrolled in the English Language Program. From January 1, 2026, to July 10, 2026, the program provided meals during a total of 3,479 student meal attendances (counting each meal received by students), helping improve children's health, encourage regular school attendance, and enhance their concentration and learning in the classroom. A nutritious meal does more than satisfy hunger. It gives children the energy to learn, grow, and move one step closer to a brighter future.

Thank You for Your Generous Support: On April 8, 2026, the Cambodian Children’s Advocacy Foundation Organization (CCAFO) gratefully received an in-kind donation of 2 tons of rice (100 bags) from Electricité du Cambodge. Out of this generous contribution, 60 bags (1,200 kilograms) have been allocated to support the English Language Project at Motherland Cambodia Education Center (MLC). The remaining rice will be distributed to preschool students to support their nutrition and well-being. This meaningful support helps strengthen our education programs and improves the lives of children and communities we serve.
