Understanding local community needs is a vital step in our planning process!

On 30 September - 01 October 2026, the JELA Foundation and Lutheran Hope Cambodia Organization (LHCO) visited three primary schools—Banteay Bronak, Samdech Chea Sim, and Banteay Sva—to listen directly to educators, understand their daily challenges, and assess the key needs of the students to guide our upcoming initiatives.

We continue to believe that education builds hope and a brighter future for generations to come. 💙📚✨

On 30 September 2026, the Lutheran Hope Cambodia Organization (LHCO), through the IMPACT Project, welcomed Norwegian youth from Mission Alliance Cambodia to Trapeang Anhchanh Village, Phnom Penh, for a community visit focused on understanding the livelihoods, challenges, and opportunities of young people in an urban community.

Through a community visit and youth-to-youth experience-sharing session, participants exchanged perspectives and experiences on education, employment, entrepreneurship, livelihoods, dreams, and aspirations for the future.

The exchange provided an opportunity for young people from different backgrounds and countries to learn from one another, build connections, and gain a deeper understanding of each other’s experiences.

Different countries, different experiences, but one shared belief: when young people are given opportunities, they can create positive change in their communities. 🌱🤝

From 15–17 September 2026, PMEAL practitioners from Myanmar, Cambodia, India, Australia, Bangladesh, and Indonesia gathered in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, for three days of ACT Asia-Pacific PMEAL Community of Practice Workshop 2026.

The workshop provided a valuable opportunity to reflect on the PMEAL CoP journey, share practical experiences and challenges, explore Theory of Change in practice, map expertise, and identify priority learning areas for 2027. Most importantly, the workshop strengthened connections and peer support among PMEAL practitioners across the Asia-Pacific region. 🌱🤝
Special thanks to our co-chairs and to ACT Alliance for supporting this important learning initiative.
