YSC Global Leadership Fellowship – Cambodian Youth Action (CYA)

We are open to both International & Local Volunteers!

Cambodian Youth Action (CYA) is inviting applicants for the Youth Service Community (YSC) Global Leadership Fellowship, a 6–12 month immersive program in rural Cambodia (Kampot, Kampong Speu, Siem Reap, and Battambang).

Unlike short-term volunteering, YSC Fellows take on real leadership roles: delivering English and digital literacy sessions for students aged 10–15, building school-community partnerships, co-managing education infrastructure projects, and coordinating with international volunteer teams. Fellows also connect with experienced global mentors (55+) through the Legacy Ignite mentorship model.

The program directly supports CYA's national goal of establishing 30 Digital Learning Labs by 2030.

Who can apply
- Age 18+
- Minimum 6-month commitment
- Proficient English (no prior teaching experience required)
- Cultural humility, flexibility, and a positive attitude

Monthly contribution fee: $360, which includes:
- Comfortable shared accommodation in a volunteer house
- Three nutritious local meals per day
- Airport pickup in Phnom Penh upon arrival
- Local transportation for all program activities
- Comprehensive pre-departure and on-site training (cultural orientation, child protection, and leadership skills)
- 24/7 emergency support and regular well-being check-ins
- Personalized access to Legacy Ignite mentorship
- Official Certificate of Completion and a personalized recommendation letter

📅Deadline: January cohort (closed Nov 30, 2026) | July cohort (closed June 15, 2027)

Unplug - Reconnect: https://cyacambodia.com/tfc-community/

6 hours.
That's roughly how much time the average person now spends looking at a screen every day. Not working — scrolling. Watching. Waiting for the next thing.
It didn't used to be this way. Even a few years ago, before the world shut down for a while, most of us weren't spending a quarter of our waking hours staring at a rectangle in our hand.
Something changed. And most of us never really noticed it happening.
We're not here to tell you to delete your apps. We're here to tell you there's another option — and it involves mud, mangroves, and a coastline in Cambodia that's been quietly teaching people how to reconnect for over 15 years.
More soon.
