People Health Development Association Local NGO In the long run it hopes that these youth will serve as a model for social change regarding s*x and HIV/AIDS education in Cambodia.

The Youth Initiative Project is the current project to be developed by People Health Development Association (PHD), which focuses on the HIV/AIDS awareness of Cambodian youth and university students. This is for a first Cambodian youth lead organization in Cambodia as working focused on high education ( university student) as linkage from secondary and high school as really limited talking about s

*xual reproductive health, s*xuality, safe s*x, condom use. HIV/AIDS and s*xual relation among pre- life of young people before their married life

Negative attitudes toward women and gender-based violence in Cambodia put women in an extremely vulnerable position regarding HIV/AIDS infection. Therefore, YIP/PHD also focuses on gender equity by integrating both male and female youth into its programs, ensuring young women have the opportunity to actively participate.
